All of your favorite club sandwich ingredients in a simple cheese wrap, these keto club sandwich roll-ups are perfect for lunch!
Keto Club Sandwich
This is a fun low-carb take on a popular deli sandwich. A club sandwich usually includes bread (which is toasted), sliced deli meat, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
Instead of toasted bread, I used crispy cheese wraps. Everything else this the same. I used deli turkey as the protein of choice. There is a lot of room for creativity in this recipe. Try it with your favorite aioli or some spicy brown mustard.
Yes, you can eat club sandwiches on the keto diet. You just have to use a low-carb replacement for the bread. If you aren’t a fan of cheese roll-ups, make some keto rosemary rolls, toast it, and then use it as the bread. It’s low-carb, high in protein, and high in fiber.
Keto Club Sandwich With Cheese Wrap
I love how effectively the cheese wraps work to hold everything together. They don’t just replace the bread, they also add another dimension of flavor to the keto club sandwiches.
These cheese wraps are creamy with the perfect amount of saltiness to really bring out all the other flavors.
I do not recommend using them in your weekly meal prep. They will stay fresh in the refrigerator for about a day or so. After that, the cheese wraps will start to soften. It’s best to eat these as fresh as possible.
Turkey Roll Ups Keto
For the best results, ask the deli to slice your turkey extra thin. It tastes so much better when the turkey is as thin as the cheese wraps. You should also use the correct type of lettuce.
Butter lettuce has the best texture and will form to the wrap without ripping the cheese.
Dice your Roma tomato into really small pieces so that it fits in the roll-up without falling out. It’s also best to cook your bacon so it is slightly soft. Extra crispy bacon doesn’t roll up as easily.
How To Use Cheese Wraps
It is very important to bake the cheese wraps for about 8 minutes before you try to use them. Baking them keeps them soft and then they harden into a crispy shell, holding everything together effectively.
If you think the cheese is too hot to handle, wear gloves. You must work with the cheese while it is hot so that it is easier to handle. After you roll everything inside the wrap, lay it down seam-side down.
After they cool, they will become crispy and easy to eat like finger food.
Keto Lunch Sides
I love to serve these roll ups at parties. They also make a really simple and fun lunch. My other favorite lunch sides include a keto sweet tea, cheesy cauliflower breadsticks, and spider cucumber bites (they are healthy and fun!).
