Looking for a quick takeout alternative that’s budget-friendly and healthy? This quick and Easy Keto Lo Mein With Shrimp is  made in less than 30 minutes and it’s better than takeout!

Chinese is almost always my go-to choice for takeout but like most takeout foods they’re loaded with carbs so when I’m craving Chinese I rather make it at home myself.I’ve made Low Carb Egg Roll In A Bowl, Keto Cashew Chicken and even Sesame Cauliflower. The results are even better than takeout!

Easy Keto Lo Mein With Shrimp – Better Than Takeout

Keto Shrimp Lo Mein

A recent asian dish that I made using low carb ingredients is this protein-packed Keto Shrimp Lo Mein. The key ingredient to this Keto Lo Mein recipe is Shirataki Noodles aka miracle noodles. You can find them in the produce section of your local grocery store.

Are Miracle Noodles Keto?

These low carb noodles have zero carbs and taste best when served in a stir fry. Perfect for those following a low carb Keto diet.

Will Miracle Noddles Keep You Full?

You bet! Miracle Noodles have no calories but they do have enough soluble fiber which helps you stay full longer!

How To Cook Miracle Noodles

Miracle Noodles are super easy to cook but they have to be cooked properly. Start by cutting open the bag of noodles with scissors and drain in a strainer and rinse with cold water.


Next, you’ll boil noodles for 2-3 minutes (make sure to use a timer).
Drain noodles and dry roast them (move them around the pan until dry) in your pan for 1 minute.

Follow these steps and your noodles will be good to go!

This low carb Chinese food recipe is incredibly easy to make and customize to your liking! In place of shrimp, you can choose to use ground beef, chicken or even a scrambled egg! For more spice, you can add pepper flakes or drizzle with extra hot sauce!

Easy Keto Lo Mein With Shrimp

Ingredients:

1/2 pound of shrimp
1 bag of spaghetti-style Shirataki Noodles
1 tbsp of avocado oil
1/3cupof mushrooms
1 cup of shredded Napa cabbage
1/2 cup of thinly sliced scallions
2 cloves of garlic
1/4 cup of carrots

Sauce:

1/4 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp minced garlic
2 tbs-unseasoned rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp
Granulated sugar substitute
1/2 tsp of Sriracha hot sauce or red pepper flakes
1 tsp Keto hoisin sauce (recipe here)

Instructions:

Add shrimp and soy sauce to a bowl and marinate while making your sauce.

In a bowl add all the ingredients for the sauce and stir. Set aside.

Heat oil in pan and cook shrimp. Remove shrimp from heat and set aside.

In the same pan cook mushroom until brown or soft.

Remove mushrooms and add garlic, scallions, and cabbage. Cook until wilted and remove from heat.

Add noodles and toss.

Top noodles with mushrooms, shrimp and sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes

Keto Shrimp Lo Mein

Garnish Keto Shrimp Lo Mein with toasted sesame seeds or drizzle with more soy sauce or hot sauce!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 pound  shrimp

  • 1/3 cup mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage *Napa is what I used but any variety will work!
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced scallions
  • 2 cloves of garlic or garlic powder

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp unseasoned rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar substitute
  • 1/2 tsp low carb hoisin sauce adjust accordingly.

Optional

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
