Five Reasons I Love Living In Florida

The heat index in florida has been in the 100’s for a couple of weeks. It’s almost september and I’m still battling frizz and an enormous electric bill. I was born and raised in Brooklyn (read about it here) and even after living down in Florida for 10 years I’m still not use to it and It’s days like this where it’s 85 at 9 in the morning and 96 (and feels like 110) at 7 at night where I feel like taking the next flight out of town. But instead I try to constantly remind myself that there’s plenty of amazing reason why I live here. Scroll down for my five reasons I love living in Florida.

1. I get to shop online summer sales and still be able to wear them for another couple of months. Seriously, I score some amazing deals right around when school starts.

2. I can always have the option of getting outside and sitting in the sun and get a tan!

3. I live 10 minutes away from a beach and taking walks on the beach when the sun is setting or rising is just beautiful and peaceful! I would do it more often if I didn’t have school drops offs in the morning.

4. Every single day at 3-3:45 we get a torrential downpour and I’ve grown to love them and just work around them. It’s the one time of day where it feels some what cool and I love the rain. Bonus point because we frequently see amazing rainbows right in front of our house!
