My only sticking point was that I didn’t want to add another line to my already pricey phone bill, not to mention signing another contract. At first Dylan scoffed at the idea of a no contract prepaid phone because he thought that it wouldn’t be fast enough to support his favorite apps and internet use, but I was out to prove to him wrong! Since I do most of my shopping at Walmart, my first stop was the Walmart wireless section and there was a huge selection but the one that stood out was Introducing Simply Prepaid™ with benefits like:
- Nationwide 4G LTE network:
- No overages, credit check, or annual contract required
- Unlimited talk and text with your choice of data starting at $40 a month

When it came time to picking the phone Dylan quickly grabbed the Samsung Galaxy Avant. The Samsung Galaxy Avant is a sleek 4G prepaid phone with all the high end capabilities. We loved all of the easy to use features, especially the 5 mp, front facing camera, which was important to Dylan because he loves to take pictures. I’ve looked into a few prepaid phones before deciding on the Samsung Galaxy Avant and trust me, a front facing camera with a 5 mp camera isn’t normally found in this price range.

With cost that start at $40 a month with 4G LTE, I knew Simply Prepaid from T-Mobile was the plan for me and I now have the peace of mind knowing that if I’m running late I can call and let my son know; and now that we’re heading into our stormy season down here in Florida this also a great way for him to call and ask me to pick him up wherever he may be.
It’s given Dylan the independence he craved while giving me peace of mind and a little extra pocket money that I can hopefully spend on myself.

The best part for me was the ability to fit all of Dylan’s needs without an inexpensive bill and I didn’t have to settle for a second-rate prepaid wireless. Money well spent and everyone is happy. What age did you buy your kids a cell phone? I’d love to know!
