These keto Chinese boneless spare ribs are so tender and flavorful that you will savor every single bite! Serve with bok choy stir fry. This is an unforgettable main course.
The Best Boneless Spare Ribs
Boneless spare ribs are one of my not-so-guilty pleasures. When you cook them the right way, they are bursting with juicy flavor and simply melt in your mouth.
I like these a lot better than bone-in ribs. These are so much easier to eat. Not only are they easy to eat, but the recipe is simple too! I’m thrilled to share it with you. It just might become your new favorite way to cook ribs.
Chinese Boneless Spare Ribs
These are Chinese spare ribs because they have the undeniable umami flavor from soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and Chinese five spice powder. I also sweetened it with a little bit of Swerve brown sugar substitute. I think the little sweet undertones really enhance the spice in the rest of the ingredients.
Red cooking wine is the other ingredient that elevates the entire recipe. It doesn’t add many carbs to it and it helps the ribs to break down and become really tender.
Keto Boneless Spare Ribs
When you make keto boneless spare ribs, it is very important to marinate them for at least a few hours. If you can remember, it’s best to marinate them overnight. This will give the ingredients time to really soak into the meat and break them down so it’s extra tender.
These ribs are kid-friendly and the perfect thing to serve at your next dinner party! It’s really easy to make enough to feed a crowd.
Are Spare Ribs Keto
Yes, spare ribs are keto-friendly. You just have to be careful with the ingredients in the marinade. My marinade uses sugar substitute, so there are only 3g net carbs in each serving!
How To Store Boneless Ribs
These are even better the next day! Just keep them in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to 5 days. You can reheat them in the oven or the microwave.
How To Bake Spare Ribs
The best way to bake spare ribs is to use a baking rack. Place the baking rack on top of a baking sheet. This way the heat will be able to reach every single side – top and bottom – of the spare ribs. Plus, the extra juices can fall to the baking sheet underneath.
Another tip, don’t forget to baste the ribs at least 3 times while they bake. Reserve some of the marinade and keep adding more of it to the ribs as they bake. This way, they won’t dry out.
What To Serve With Spare Ribs
What you serve with these ribs depends on the occasion. If you are going to be serving an Asian-inspired dinner, then I suggest making some keto bok choy stir fry with soy sauce eggs. This has the same umami flavors with bright green bok choy.
Don’t forget the keto egg drop soup – it’s a staple whenever I make Chinese food for dinner. Instead of a salad, I’ll serve some low-carb tuna sushi in a bowl. Same flavors but less carbs.
If you are going to serve this at a cookout for a lot of people, then you can make some crowd-pleasing keto deviled egg salad and some cauliflower potato salad. Both choices feed lots of people effortlessly.
