Hot and spicy keto crack slaw is the best salad you will ever make! It will light up your mouth and make you actually crave it during the week.
What Is Crack Slaw
Basically, this crack slaw is pretty addicting. When I made crack chicken skillet, I used chicken thighs with lots of cheese and some bacon and ranch seasoning.
For this crack slaw, I amped up the spice and combined shredded chicken with some jalapenos, lots of cheese, and (of course) bacon! A quick Google search will show you a ton of different varieties of crack slaw.
Some people make it Asian with ground beef. If that’s what you’re looking for, then check out my keto egg roll in a bowl.
It’s made with umami flavors, ground beef, and shredded cabbage. If you are ready for some serious spice, keep reading!
Keto Crack Slaw
There are just 4 grams net carbs in each serving of this tasty keto crack slaw. This recipe makes enough for 4 servings. If you happen to eat the entire bowl at once, you might want to redo your macros.
I like to save 3/4 of it in my meal prep for the rest of the week. Keto crack slaw saves really well. It will taste incredible throughout the week. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Spicy Cole Slaw
The best thing about the coleslaw is how spicy it is! It’s really easy to adjust the spice level, too. If you want it completely mild, I suggest leaving out the jalapenos. If you want it to be even spicier, mix in some poblano peppers with the jalapenos.
Chicken Coleslaw
This is the perfect recipe to make when you have leftover chicken. Use either chicken breasts or chicken thighs – it really doesn’t matter. You can also shred up a rotisserie chicken or use canned chicken.
It’s a budget-friendly recipe, especially if you buy a head of cabbage and shred it yourself. I like to buy a bag of coleslaw mix to save myself time.
What To Eat With Coleslaw
This coleslaw is a classic BBQ or cookout side dish. Serve it with some keto butter burgers for a filling meal. If you want something lighter, enjoy it with a bowl of keto cheeseburger soup.
If you leave out the chicken, you can use this coleslaw as a topping for a sheet pan cheeseburger or add it on top of a keto hot dog (a West Virginia staple, according to my friend).
