Perfect for breakfast or brunch, keto ham and cheese quiche is also the best way to use leftover ham. It’s an easy crustless quiche!
Is Ham Keto
There are a few different types of ham, so this is a tricky question. Glazed ham is not ket0-friendly, unless you make it with a sugar-free glaze. This keto baked ham with honey mustard glaze is low in carbs and fits perfectly on the ketogenic diet.
Most types of country ham or slices of deli ham are low enough in carbs to be considered keto. When you make this recipe, just make sure you are using a sugar-free ham.
Keto Ham and Cheese Quiche
This keto ham and cheese quiche is such a simple recipe! It’s so easy. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients up, pour them in a pie pan, and then bake them.
This is the perfect Christmas morning breakfast because it feeds your entire family without any effort. You can even use leftover ham in it. saving you time browning sausage or frying bacon.
For a little more fun, make individual quiche cups! Just pour the mixture into a muffin tin and bake them until a toothpick comes out clean. Then everyone can eat their own little mini quiche.
Low-Carb Quiche
This quiche is also the perfect thing to take to a holiday brunch! With the red ham and green onions, it has all your favorite holiday colors in it. If you want to add more festive colors, add some chopped green and red bell peppers to it too.
There are a lot of different ways you can customize the quiche. Instead of swiss cheese, use mozzarella or even pepper jack. For a little heat, add some red pepper flakes.
Or, make southwest quiche by mixing in some fresh salsa and chopped jalapenos. Be creative and make it your own!
Low-Carb Crustless Quiche
This crustless quiche takes about 45 minutes to bake. If you want to enjoy it on a really busy morning, I suggest letting it bake while you finish up other things. Then, it will be ready when you are.
You can also make it the night before and store it in the refrigerator in an air-tight food storage container. It won’t last very long in the refrigerator – only about 3 day. But it will save you time if you make it the night before
Crustless Ham and Cheese Quiche
The other thing that makes this keto ham and cheese quiche so amazing is the addition of heavy cream and almond milk. If you are lactose intolerant, then I suggest using canned coconut milk instead of the whipping cream and almond milk instead of dairy milk.
Then, increase the cheese by 1/4 a cup.
It won’t have the same flavor if you use non-dairy options, but it can still taste delicious!
I like to serve this quiche with some sliced bacon, keto pancakes, and a nice hot cup of coffee. Just enjoy your favorite breakfast recipes with it!
