These bunless keto BLT egg sliders are a hit at parties! They taste as good as they look and only have 1g net carb in each slider!
BLT Sliders
I don’t know about you, but I just love the combination of a classic BLT.
Savory bacon, crispy lettuce, and sweet tomato – it doesn’t get better than that! The good news is that those three ingredients are low-carb – you just have to find a good bread substitute and then you can enjoy it on a keto diet.
The best thing about these cute little sliders is that the egg whites are a perfect size. They make the cutest little sliders that you will be proud to serve at your next holiday party.
Plus, the holidays are a super-busy time for everyone – you need a recipe that is easy to put together. Hardboil the eggs ahead of time and use precooked bacon. Now you have everything you need to put together the best appetizers in no time at all.
Bacon and Egg Sliders
These bacon and egg sliders are easy to customize. If you or someone you know is allergic to egg yolks (or just trying not to eat too many yolks) then you can remove them and fill the egg whites with sauce instead.
Remember that when you cook bacon on a keto diet you should always use sugar-free bacon. Avoid any kind of bacon that has the word “maple” in it.
Keto BLT
The best sauce for these little BLT sliders is a simple combination of mayonnaise and mustard. You don’t need very much else.
For a bit of fun, sprinkle some Everying Bagel seasoning on top of the egg whites. Not only does this make the egg whites look like authentic hamburger buns, but the flavors are incredible too!
Bunless Sliders
I’ve made keto appetizers without bread before. Salami roll-ups and chicken cordon bleu bites are just a few ideas I’ve shared. Using an egg white as a bun for BLT sliders is a lot of fun because it reminds me of deviled eggs.
Plus, they just look so cute that your guests will comment on them and eat them up.
In order to make them stand out (and taste even better) I suggest garnishing them with some fresh parsley. Fresh herbs look lovely on them but it also adds a burst of amazing flavor too.
Egg BLT Recipe
I don’t recommend storing fully-made egg BLT sliders for very long. They will stay fresh in the refrigerator for about a day before the tomato juices soften the lettuce, bacon, and egg.
Here’s how to save yourself prep time and make them ahead of time so they still taste great. First, hardboil the eggs up to a week ahead of time. You can even store peeled hardboiled eggs in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Pre-cook the bacon and keep it in the refrigerator, cut it into small pieces. Slice the Roma tomatoes and store them in the refrigerator too.
On the day of your party, all you have to do is arrange the ingredients together and secure them with a toothpick. It’s so easy!
