The Best Gluten-Free Bagels
Even if you aren’t on keto, this recipe is perfect for anyone that has to eat a gluten-free diet. It’s made from whole ingredients so it’s a healthy alternative to traditional bagels.
Sometimes gluten-free or keto bagels have an odd texture that turns people off from eating them. Not these bagels! Their texture actually resembles a bagel closer than any other recipe I’ve tried.
Keto Mozzarella Dough Bagels
The secret to the perfect texture of these bagels is the mozzarella dough. When you combine it with almond flour, it has a cake-like texture. It’s safe to use in a toaster and holds up to cream cheese spread!
Low-Carb Homemade Bagels
This recipe makes 4 bagels and there are only 5.5 grams of net carbs in each bagel. That’s amazing considering that typical bagels have 48 grams of carbs in them.
Since these are made with almond flour, mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese, there are very few carbs in each one.
How To Use The Keto Onion Bagel Recipe
There are so many ways you can use these bagels after you bake them. This recipe makes 4 bagels, but if you have enough ingredients, double it!
You can use these bagels to make low-carb sandwiches. They are also perfect for mini pizzas, or you can spread some cream cheese on top for a tasty and filling breakfast.
How To Store Low-Carb Bagels
Mozzarella dough is also commonly known as Fat Head dough. It’s a funny name, isn’t it? It was named after the comedy-documentary Fat Head.
If you do make a bunch, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Since they aren’t made with preservatives, they won’t last as long as typical bagels.
