These shrimp stuffed peppers taste like jalapeno poppers. They’re filled with cream cheese, spices, bacon, and fresh jalapenos.
Popper Stuffed Peppers
This dinner will have you doing double takes. Is it jalapeno poppers? Seafood? Stuffed peppers? Yes, it’s all three!
These cheese stuffed peppers are bursting with all sorts of flavors. If you like cheese, it’s made with both cream cheese and sharp cheddar cheese.
Are you crazy about bacon? I added a bunch of bacon pieces to the stuffing too.
But the jalapenos are the best part of these stuffed peppers. They brings the heat and the spice to the already delicious bell peppers.
Then, I added some small, peeled shrimp, too! They enhance the peppers with a healthy source of protein.
Keto Stuffed Peppers
Stuffed peppers might take a little extra work, but they are worth the effort. This is the best way to enjoy eating vegetables when they aren’t your favorite thing to eat.
Pretty much anything tastes better when you smother it in cheese, and the same goes for bell peppers.
Is it better to use green, red, or yellow bell peppers? Is there a difference? No, there isn’t any real difference.
Yellow and red bell peppers might taste slightly sweeter than green ones but they all taste basically the same. I like to use all three colors just to add more variety to the dinner table.
Shrimp Stuffed Peppers
I think the shrimp is my favorite part of these cheesy stuffed peppers! They add protein without overpowering the other flavors.
Make sure that you’re using tiny shrimp that are peeled, with the tails removed, and deveined.
If you want to use larger shrimp, chop them up into smaller pieces. It’s easier to eat smaller bites of shrimp inside the stuffed peppers.
Can you replace the shrimp with something else? Yes, the stuffed peppers will also taste delicious with lump crab meat instead of shrimp.
What To Eat With Stuffed Peppers
These shrimp stuffed peppers will feed your entire family for dinner. Serve them with low-carb bell pepper nachos.
They use lots of the same ingredients and so they taste fantastic together. These stuffed peppers also make the perfect appetizer!
Serve them with some keto bacon wrapped cabbage and some keto chili lime tortilla chips. That’s everything you need for a fun dinner with friends.
How To Store Stuffed Peppers
These low-carb stuffed peppers are easy to make ahead and store in your meal prep too. Just follow the recipe and cook them like normal.
Then, place the entire stuffed pepper in an airtight food storage container. Refrigerate them for up to 5 days.
Keep in mind that they will taste so much better if you eat them as soon as possible. And I suggest reheating them in the oven or air fryer to keep the peppers crispy.
