These keto turkey ranch pinwheels are the perfect lunch, snack, or appetizer. There are lots of ways you can customize them too.
Turkey Lettuce Pinwheels
Lunch is one of the easiest meals of the day to become frustrated with. There are only so many different ways you can eat a salad, right?
That’s what I thought, and so I created these meat and veggie pinwheels. They are incredibly tasty and there are a bunch of different ways you can prepare them – so that they taste like a new recipe each time.
Keto Pinwheel Wraps
The bacon in these wraps is what really sets them apart and makes them stand out. I love the salty and crunchy taste of the bacon with the savory turkey and creamy ranch dressing.
I use bacon in tons of other recipes (like my keto garlic and bacon pasta). Since I eat so much bacon throughout the week, I just cook a large batch of it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. If you are short on time, you can leave the bacon out of these pinwheels or make a few slices of bacon in the microwave.
Bacon Cheddar Ranch Pinwheels
I used turkey lunch meat and shredded cheddar cheese but you can customize with different cheese or meat. Try to make these pinwheels with deli ham or chicken.
My favorite types of deli cheese for roll-ups are pepper jack, asiago, or Muenster. Each type of cheese has its own flavor and makes the pinwheels taste completely new.
How To Make Turkey Pinwheels
These pinwheels are so much fun to eat. I like to roll-up a few and eat them for lunch or as a snack. If you want to serve them at a party, just slice them and stick a toothpick in each one – they are the perfect finger food!
They are so easy to make. All you do is mix the cheese with the bacon and ranch dressing mix. Then, spread it on top of some deli meat and lettuce and roll it up.
The cream cheese mixture is what holds it all together.
The fun part is the dip! You can drizzle some hot sauce on top or dip the pinwheels into more ranch dressing.
Pinwheel Lunch Meat
Since you are going to roll it up, I suggest using extra-thin lunch meat. This is easier to roll up in the lettuce. If you are on the keto diet, be sure to use sugar-free lunch meat. That means stay away from honey ham or maple turkey.
For even more flavor, layer different types of lunch meat in the pinwheels.
What Goes In Pinwheels
The main things that go into pinwheels is the cream cheese mixture, lunch meat, and the lettuce wrap. Use a large leaf lettuce as the wrap.
The most popular types of lettuce for lettuce wraps are iceberg lettuce and butter lettuce. You can also branch out away from lettuce and use cabbage as the wrap!
Keto Lunch Ideas
The best keto lunch ideas are going to be really quick (because who has time to cook at lunch) and packed with different flavors. When you make tasty low-carb foods for lunch, you will be more likely to stick to your macros.
This keto lobster salad is a refreshing and light lunch idea. Another fantastic seafood lunch is this spinach and shrimp salad. It’s salty, savory, and delicious.
Soups are another wonderful lunch idea – because they store so well. My favorite low-carb soup is keto creamy Tuscan sausage soup. It’s bursting with flavor!
How Do You Store Pinwheels
These pinwheels are the perfect thing for your meal prep. I suggest storing them with a toothpick in the middle so they stay together. If you store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator, they will last about 5 days.
