Hearts Of Palm Pasta Noodle Ideas
One of my favorite types of low-carb pasta is Hearts of Palm pasta noodles. This pasta literally replaces wheat pasta in any recipe. I loved it in my keto shrimp scampi and my tomato cream sauce pasta recipe tastes like something from a restaurant. Today I have an even easier recipe for you.
This recipe takes almost no thought at all. The best thing about it is that it has both garlic and bacon in it!
Keep reading and I’ll share some of my favorite tips and ways that you can change this recipe so that it tastes completely different each time.
Quick Low-Carb Skillet Meals
This meal is perfect for busy nights. Since you don’t have to boil any noodles, it’s even faster than making mac and cheese! Since my kids prefer anything that is mild-tasting, they love this recipe.
There are a few ways that you can change this recipe to suit your tastes. Use turkey bacon instead of pork. You can also add sauteed mushrooms, some spinach, or shredded rotisserie chicken to the pasta to make it a complete meal.
My favorite way to eat this recipe is with a fried egg on top!
What Are Hearts Of Palm Pasta?
Hearts of palm pasta is basically noodles that are made from the edible inner core of the palm tree. You’ll usually find it in a can or a shelf-stable bag.
The reason it is low-carb is that it has so much fiber. There are only 4g net carbs in each serving.
It has the same consistency as pasta, but with a bit of an acidic or lemon flavor. I think that this tastes really great with almost any sauce or spices you can add to it. In fact, I think this is a better keto pasta substitute than zoodles.
How To Cook Canned Hearts Of Palm Noodles
The good news is that you don’t have to cook them. Just open the can, drain them and then heat them up. That’s why this recipe is so fast! I love that all I have to do is open the can and then my pasta is already cooked.
Where To Buy Hearts of Palm Canned
There are two popular places to buy canned Palmini pasta – and they both ship, so you don’t have to drive anywhere. Buy it on Amazon or from Walmart.
You can also look for canned hearts of palm at your local grocery store.
Easy Bacon Pasta
The crispy bacon adds a satisfying crunch with the noodles – and the garlic and pepper accentuate the savory flavors. This pasta recipe tastes amazing because it is so simple.
To make this an entire meal, just add a few sides. I think my low-carb cheesy asparagus will taste amazing with the bacon. The garlic in this pasta will taste perfect with some keto garlic Texas toast too.
If you think it needs more meat, make some low-carb baked chicken thighs. They are just as easy to make and have lots of the same flavors too.
