Every Christmas we’ve had since my oldest was about 4 years old, there has always been a favorite game system or special game that they added to their list and just had to have! They didn’t just want the games either, my kids even want toy versions of the game characters to their Christmas list. In other words, our Christmas’ has always been based on whatever game they were playing at that moment. Santa’s job was to score all the must-have goodies!
For the past couple of years a consistent favorite has been Minecraft, with good reason! The creative and building aspects of the family friendly Minecraft game gives players endless possibilities. You can build a simple home or a castle out of 3D cubes, play in Creative Mode with unlimited resources, or mine deep in Survival Mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off dangerous mobs. There’s nothing you can’t do in this game. They even have the option of playing online with friends!
This year I plan on making a stop at Best Buy, where they carry the Xbox One S console bundle. This holds the Minecraft game, Minecraft toys and even collectibles (another favorite in my house). Anything Minecraft related under our tree is a hit. My son got the stuffed pig a couple of years back and he still takes it everywhere we go.
