I’ve been sick for what feels like forever! One day it feels like a sinus infection, the next day like the flu and then the allergies kick in. The only thing that has me feeling even a little better has been my favorite soup – just a couple of sips of the spicy broth and my sinuses open right up. I call it my “feel better” soup and all it has is celery, onion, carrots, cayenne pepper and chicken broth (sometimes I add noodles but to be honest it’s ten times better without the noodles). My mom actually was the one who told me to add cayenne pepper to soup whenever I’m sick but it wasn’t until recently that I tried it out.
I swear by my “feel better” soup and figured since it’s flu season maybe you guys can benefit from it too.

Ingredients:
3 celery stalks
1 small white onions
2 large carrots
1 jar of chicken broth
cayenne pepper
Preparation:
Boil 6 cups of water
add 4 tablespoons of chicken broth
mix in 4 tablespoons of cayenne pepper (this is to make the soup extremely spicy you can adjust to your liking) and 2 teaspoons of parsley
add celery, onion and carrots and boil until soft
***Make it a meal by adding noodles and pouring it over white rice or yucca and a side of avocado.
