What is your favorite party food? For me, it is definitely guacamole. Traditional guac is one of the best keto foods you can eat and I’m going to share the best recipe that I have ever made. It is one that I use whenever I am craving something salty.

After you make this recipe a few times, you won’t even need the instructions anymore. This is a classic recipe that is as delicious as it is colorful and beautiful!

In fact, it is a classic and must-have keto recipe. When you are on the keto diet, you need to eat plenty of healthy fats. Avocados are high in these healthy fats, and will keep your body in fat-burning mode.

Avocados are a staple of the keto diet. There are so many ways you can eat them – and all of them are different. One of my favorites is to add it to a chicken salad to make it creamier.

You can also just use the entire avocado and make mini tacos out of them. They even taste delicious in a cucumber salad. It’s crazy how versatile they are. 

Authentic Guacamole Recipe With Garlic

This recipe is pretty authentic. It’s made with fresh, whole ingredients, including jalapenos. I used fresh avocados and Roma tomatoes. You can use any kind of tomatoes, as long as you chop them up small.

I specified red onions in my recipe because it’s the sweetest variety you can buy. If you can’t find red onions, you can use white or yellow. 

Trust me, use fresh cilantro. It will give the recipe so much more flavor! Of course, if you don’t like cilantro, just leave it out. 

You can enjoy this any time of year. Make a large batch – everyone is going to eat it up! 

Healthy Low Carb Guacamole

Whether you serve it as a side dish, a topping, or a healthy dip, this guac is going to become a family-favorite recipe. You can even put a small dollop on top of cucumbers and shrimp as an appetizer.

One of my favorite ways to eat this guac is on top of my taco salad.

This guac tastes the best when you make it fresh. It doesn’t last very long in the refrigerator before it starts to turn brown.

 

To help it last as long as possible, just follow this hack. Place the guac into an airtight container. Smash it down so there aren’t any air pockets in it anymore.

Then, gently add about a half-inch of water on top of the guac. Cover it tightly and keep it in the fridge. It will stay fresh like this – without turning brown – for up to 2 days.

Ingredients:

Ripe avocados 
Medium red onion 
Roma tomato 
Jalapeno pepper 
Garlic
Lime
Salt and pepper 
Fresh cilantro

Instructions:

1. Remove the avocados from their skins and place into a food processor with the juice from half of a lime.

Pulse until mashed and still a little chunky.


2. Add the mashed avocado to a mixing bowl. Place the other ingredients into the bowl, and stir to combine well.


3. Serve with your choice of favorite keto items for dipping.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 avocados ripe with the pit removed
  • 1/2 red onion chopped
  • 1 Roma tomato chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper deseeded and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice from a fresh lime
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped

Instructions
