Learn how to bake keto Cajun ribs slowly so they are tender and falling off the bone! The dry rub and braising recipe are perfect.
Cajun Ribs
For this recipe, you’ll use pre-made Cajun seasoning so that you don’t have to sit and measure out a bunch of different spices. Cajun seasoning is made of a combination of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, pepper, and oregano. You might find some varieties have different ingredients than that, but those are the most common spices.
If you love Cajun spices, then make these keto air fryer Cajun chicken strips next. They have lots of the same spices and are a crispy lunch idea or topping for salad.
I used Cajun seasoning in the dry rub for these pork ribs. To make them even spicier, I added more paprika and some chili powder. If you prefer mild flavors, then use less paprika or leave it out entirely.
Keto Oven-Baked Ribs
Have you ever made ribs in the oven? It is one of my favorite ways to make pork ribs. When you cook them at a low heat (I did 200 degrees F) they cook the meat at a slow enough rate for it to tenderize while the flavors caramelize and infuse deep into the meat.
They won’t dry out if you make and use the braising liquid correctly. The braising liquid will boil and create steam inside the foil packet that will keep moisture in the ribs where it belongs.
Sweet and Spicy Ribs
One of the best things about these Cajun ribs is the combination of sweet and spicy flavors. The dry rub is full of smoky heat. The braising liquid is sweet and tangy.
When you pair them together, you’ll smell and taste the sweetness first, and then as you eat the ribs, your mouth will fill with smoky heat. It’s incredible!
What To Eat With Ribs
Since these ribs are spicy and remind me of BBQ cookouts, I like to serve them with keto-friendly versions of cookout recipes. Keto cauliflower potato salad is low-carb and made with the same kind of dressing that you love in potato salad.
Keto creamy cucumber salad is a wonderful way to use garden cucumbers. They are smothered in a creamy dill sauce that stands out and cools down your taste buds.
Add some keto garlic knots or low-carb rosemary rolls to the table to give your mouth a respite from the spicy ribs. They are both perfect choices.
How To Store Leftover Ribs
The best way to store leftover pork ribs is in an airtight food storage container and keep them in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for up to three days. Reheat them in the microwave or oven. They will soften up beautifully in the microwave.
