Spicy Keto Soup
Who else loves lots of spice in their food? I know I do! I’m always looking for ways to add more heat. If you like spicy foods, then this keto soup is going to become one of your favorites.
This soup is an entire meal in a cup or bowl. The shredded chicken sits in a thick and creamy sauce, with spicy jalapenos and chopped red bell peppers. If the jalapenos don’t make this spicy enough for it, add some hot sauce!
Jalapeno Popper Soup
This jalapeno popper soup has all the classic ingredients that love about jalapeno poppers. First, there are the jalapenos. Then, you have the thick cream cheese.
All the rest of the ingredients in this soup (scroll down to the printable recipe card to read the full list) add to the complexity and taste.
I love topping it all with some bacon pieces. You can also add a little bit of sour cream or garnish with cilantro. Have fun with the garnish ingredients! They are meant to add color and pizzaz to the dinner but also enhance the rest of the flavors.
Keto Jalapeno Popper Soup
This soup is perfect to use as part of your meal prep. Since it is made in a cream-based broth, the texture will solidify the longer it is kept in the refrigerator.
Store it in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. After about 3 days the quality of the soup will disintegrate.
When you are ready to reheat it, I suggest heating it on the stove. It will spread the heat out more evenly and help the soup melt beautifully again.
Jalapeno Soup Keto
This soup is a very rich and filling dish, so you don’t need to add a lot to it. If you want, you can add some jalapeno chips as spicy croutons on top!
I’m also a huge fan of dipping these keto garlic knots in the soup too. I think they take some of the spice off and I love dipping bread into soup – even on a low-carb diet.
Something simple like keto parmesan zucchini sticks will also taste delicious with this soup. Or, just steam some broccoli and cauliflower and enjoy! There are so many things that will taste delicious with it.
Easy Low-Carb Soup Recipe
The cold weather is the perfect time to warm up with a comforting bowl of soup. This soup has heat – in more ways than one.
I love enjoying keto-friendly soups without worrying if they will kick me out of ketosis. There are only 5g net carbs in each bowl!
There is a way to make this in the slow cooker. Add everything except the heavy cream, cream cheese, and cheese to the slow cooker. Let it cook for about 6-8 hours on low. About 30 minutes before you serve it, add the dairy products. Stir it really well and then serve, adding bacon on top as a garnish.
You can also save cooking time by shredding a rotisserie chicken, using frozen diced onions, and pre-cooking the bacon.
