These crispy air fryer chicken strips are low-carb and gluten-free with a big Cajun flavor. Best keto lunch for meal prep.
Air Fryer Chicken Strips
These amazing gluten-free chicken strips are coated with crunchy pork rind crumbs, parmesan cheese, and spiced with Cajun seasoning. The result is a bunch of hot and crispy air fryer chicken strips.
If you want them to cook faster, I suggest cutting the chicken tenderloins really thin. The thinner they are, the faster they will cook!
Keto Chicken Strips
These keto chicken strips are packing some serious heat! I love the amount of Cajun seasoning I used. If you prefer mild spice levels in your food, I suggest using a little less Cajun seasoning and leaving the hot sauce out of the dip.
Cajun Chicken Strips
Cajun and Creole spices are found in foods from Louisiana. It is an amazing combination of French and Spanish cuisine and creates some seriously iconic recipes, like gumbo and jambalaya.
Cajun seasoning includes a huge list of spices. My favorites are hot peppers and paprika. While you can definitely make your own Cajun seasoning with cinnamon, allspice, and other spices, I just used pre-made Cajun seasoning.
It saves me a lot of time and still makes these chicken strips taste incredible.
Keto Crispy Chicken Tenders
These crispy chicken tenders are the perfect thing to make for a quick lunch. I love using my air fryer – it’s so fast and clean-up is a breeze. A plate of chicken tenders with a cold broccoli salad is the perfect lunch.
You can also just make a super-quick strawberry pretzel salad and serve that with these chicken tenders. The sweetness balances out the heat from the chicken strips.
If you want to use them in your meal prep, then store them in an airtight food storage container and keep them in the refrigerator for up to three days. After about three days the texture will begin to deteriorate.
Best Keto Dipping Sauces
The dry rub isn’t the only Cajun thing about these chicken strips. I also made a scrumptious Cajun dipping sauce to go along with it! The base is Greek yogurt and it’s all spiced up with Cajun seasoning, paprika, hot sauce, and garlic powder.
You could also dip these chicken strips into your favorite sugar-free ranch or bleu cheese dressing. I’m a huge fan of this keto queso dip, it has lots of spice!
Guacamole is always a fantastic choice on the keto diet. Or keep the dipping sauce basic and use your favorite herbs and spices in Greek yogurt.
