Whenever I make a recipe that reminds me of something I loved when I was a kid, I just get all happy. I think that childhood recipes are what defines comfort food. 

Keto Cheeseburger Skillet

This recipe is layered goodness. First, you have the ground beef and cream cheese mixture. Then, there is the zesty sauce – with sugar-free ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and dijon mustard.

Top all that with bacon (and a few other spices and ingredients) and you have an incredible skillet dinner! 

Sloppy Joes With No Bread

I love using this recipe for my meal prep. When you store it in the refrigerator, the cream cheese sauce might solidify a bit. Don’t let that freak you out. All you have to do is heat it up and everything will melt back into gooey goodness!

It really does taste like sloppy joes without the bread. It will stay fresh in the refrigerator for about 5 days.

This recipe is incredibly easy to change and customize. Instead of ground beef, try to make this with ground chicken or turkey. If you want it to have a bit of spice, use some sausage.

How To Freeze Homemade Sloppy Joes

Freezing homemade sloppy joes is an excellent way to save time in the kitchen on really busy weekdays. First, make the skillet recipe according to the steps in the printable recipe card below.

Then, let it cool to room temperature. You can put it in the refrigerator to speed up this step.

Next, scoop all the sloppy joes into a resealable freezer-safe bag. Seal it completely and lay it flat on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer. Keep it in the freezer overnight. Now the sloppy joes are frozen and you can take the baking sheet out of the freezer.

When you are ready to eat them again, just let them thaw overnight in the refrigerator and then reheat on the stove.

Ingredients:

Ground Beef
Onion
Cream Cheese
Worcestershire Sauce
Sugar-Free Ketchup
Dijon Mustard
Bacon
Minced Garlic
Cheddar Cheese

Garnish

Dill Pickle
Tomato
Low-Carb Burger Sauce

Instructions:

Saute the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium high heat until the meat is completely browned and the onion has softened. Drain any excess fat.

Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the garlic and cream cheese until the cream cheese is melted and well combined.

Stir in the worcestershire sauce, sugar free ketchup, crumbled bacon and salt and pepper to taste until well combined.

  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 2 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Sugar-Free Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1/3 cup Bacon crumbled
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded

Garnish

  • 1 Dill Pickle
  • 1 Tomato chopped
