A keto copycat McGriddle is the perfect breakfast sandwich to make ahead and freeze. It’s a tasty and filling breakfast for busy mornings.
Copycat McGriddle
If your favorite thing about the McGriddle is the sweet taste of the bread mixed with the saltiness of the sausage and egg, then this keto breakfast sandwich is perfect for you!
There are only 5 grams net carbs in each sandwich! It will leave you feeling so full and satiated that you won’t be tempted to snack in between breakfast and lunch.
This is a high-protein breakfast that will jump start your metabolism and help you build lean muscle.
Keto McGriddle
It’s easy to turn down the allure and temptation of fast food breakfast when you know you can make something that tastes even better at home. This keto McGriddle doesn’t just taste better, but you feel better after eating it too.
No more sugar crashes or feeling bloated.
This low-carb breakfast sandwich is mostly protein. It’s perfect for anyone that needs to regulate their blood sugar.
If you have kids, make extra! Kids love how this tastes too (and you’ll love that it’s sugar-free and gluten-free).
Sausage Egg and Cheese McGriddle
The secret to a tasty copycat McGriddle is to use chaffles for the bread! They are crispy and fluffy at the same time and extremely low in net carbs.
When you make chaffles, use a mini waffle maker. Chaffles don’t turn out very well when you try to use a full-sized waffle maker. Save yourself the frustration and use a Dash mini waffle maker.
Make this McGriddle just how you like it. Use bacon instead of sausage or make it with just egg and cheese. You can also easily make your own homemade low carb air fryer sausage patties.
Homemade McGriddle
These are the perfect breakfast sandwiches to make in bulk and store in the freezer. You’ll save so much time and money when you do it this way.
To freeze them, wrap them tightly in aluminum foil and store them in a resealable freezer-safe food storage bag. They will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Reheat them in the air fryer or toaster oven. You can reheat them in the microwave too, but if you do, the chaffles will soften.
Keto Breakfast Sandwich
These sandwiches are so filling and they give you everything you need for a filling breakfast. There are 5 grams net carbs in each sandwich, so enjoy it with something that is also low-carb.
I think this sandwich will taste incredible with a glass of keto iced bulletproof coffee.
