Lemon Chicken With Green Beans and Mushrooms
Looking for something new to make for dinner? You have got to try this recipe! It has a robust and creamy sauce that tastes amazing with the mushrooms and green beans.
In fact, it has so much flavor that your family won’t even know it is keto-friendly. You could double the sauce and serve it on top of their favorite pasta – it is that good!
Creamy Keto Chicken Skillet
I always use my cast-iron skillet. I love that I can make this recipe on top of the stove and put it in the oven if I need to keep it warm. You don’t have to use a cast-iron skillet – just use your favorite non-stick or stainless steel one.
This recipe only takes about 30 minutes to make from start to finish. It’s one of those recipes that you will have memorized after making it a few times. It only has about 6 steps, it’s pretty simple. Easy recipes are my favorite kind!
How To Make Keto Cream Sauce
I made a basic cream sauce – but it tastes so good. Kids love basic recipes, and I wanted to make something we could all enjoy as a family.
To make the cream sauce, I just used butter, garlic, chicken broth, heavy whipping cream, and lemon juice.
When you use butter, make sure and use unsalted butter. If you use salted butter, you might want to cut back on any salt that you add later.
You can use chicken stock instead of chicken broth. Either one will taste delicious in this sauce. It’s the heavy whipping cream that gives it the thick and rich flavor. Use full-fat since it will have the most nutrients.
Either lemon or lime juice will give it the fresh citrus taste that goes so well with chicken. I like lemon juice because lemon chicken is a popular combination.
What To Serve With Lemon Chicken
This is an entire meal in one skillet, so you don’t have to serve much with it. It will taste delicious on top of some low-carb noodles. You can also serve it with my favorite cheesy garlic bread or low-carb mushroom cauliflower rice.
Meal Prep Chicken Recipes
When you store this as part of your meal prep, I suggest storing it without the cream sauce. The cream sauce will change textures in the refrigerator.
You can eat this later on in the week on top of some lettuce for a delicious salad. Or, chop it up and make chicken salad with it.
Cooked chicken has to be one of the best things you can put in your meal prep because there are so many things you can do with it.
Lemon Chicken With Cream Sauce
This is a pretty mild recipe – but the cream sauce is really rich. It’s amazing! If you want it to have a little more spice, add some red pepper flakes on top.
When I serve this to my family, I always pull out the shredded parmesan cheese and let them sprinkle it on top if they want. The parmesan cheese tastes pretty delicious on this creamy chicken.
I used my favorite vegetables in this recipe, but try it with asparagus or broccolini. Have fun and use different veggies.
Low-Carb Summer Chicken Recipes
Since this is made with fresh parsley and lemon, it has a fantastic summer taste to it. In fact, I enjoy eating this recipe with a glass of sugar-free lemonade.
Make it once and you’ll definitely want to make it again!
