The Big Mac from McDonald’s is a pretty iconic burger. Since it’s made with three pieces of bread, it’s definitely not keto-friendly. But it’s not the bread that makes the Big Mac so delicious, it’s the zesty secret sauce.
I recreated the Big Mac into a bowl of filling salad. It has all the same ingredients as the burger – lettuce, tomato, burger, pickles, and cheddar cheese. Then, it’s drizzled with a dressing that tastes just like the secret sauce from the fast food chain.
Keto Big Mac Salad
If you store the salad and the dressing in separate containers, you can make it days in advance and add it to your weekly meal prep. The ground beef, lettuce, and tomatoes will stay fresh in the fridge for about three days.
The homemade mayo-based salad dressing will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a week.
This is the perfect salad to munch on when you’re craving fast food. All the wonderful contrasting tastes and textures complement each other.
Big Mac Salad Dressing Recipe
Keto Big Mac salad dressing tastes amazing on lots of other types of salads too, not just this ground beef and tomatoes one.
The dressing has a combination of mayo, ketchup, and mustard. It’s spiced with paprika, garlic, and onion. You probably already have all of the ingredients in your pantry.
If you want it to be sweeter, add a pinch of Swerve brown sugar substitute. I think it tastes perfect without the sweetener.
What To Eat With Salad
This salad has so much protein in it that you can eat it for lunch, without adding any other food with it. If you want to munch on something with it, I suggest adding a keto dinner roll or low-carb garlic knot.
If you make this salad without the ground beef, it will work as the perfect starter for some keto butter burgers or keto sheet pan cheeseburgers or you can enjoy this salad with a bowl of keto cheeseburger soup with bacon.
Ground Beef On Salad
The crumbled ground beef is the perfect protein to add to this zesty salad. Other types of protein will taste delicious with it too. Try this salad with some ground turkey or ground chicken. It will also taste amazing with some spicy sausage too!
Since ground chicken and pork have less fat, I suggest adding some more garlic powder to them as they cook.

Roma tomatoes
Red onion
Dill pickles
Ground beef
Garlic powder
Shredded cheddar cheese

For the dressing:
Mayonnaise

Mustard
Paprika
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Instructions:
Place the meat in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove, and saute until browned. Drain the excess grease.
Stir in the garlic powder, and salt and pepper to taste. Set the meat aside to cool a bit.
Add the lettuce to a large serving bowl.
Top with the tomato, pickle, red onion, cheddar cheese and meat.
In a bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar free ketchup, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika until well combined.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad, and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
