Keto Pigs In A Blanket With Almond Flour
This recipe tastes just like the original. It still wraps mini sausages up in a flaky crust. The only difference is that instead of a crust made with gluten or wheat flour, I used almond flour and cheese. It’s all the flavor without all the carbs.
If you want to take these pigs in a blanket to the next level, add some everything bagel seasoning on top before you bake them. You won’t believe how delicious this is.
Another topping idea – sprinkle some shredded cheddar cheese on top.
Best Keto Pigs In A Blanket
This is a kid-friendly appetizer, so if you have lots of small children that are going to be at the dinner, make a double batch.
In fact, this recipe makes a fantastic keto holiday appetizer too. Set these little bite-sized treats out during the party and people will grab them and snack on them. I love making them for all sorts of parties – football games, birthday parties, even movie nights. They even make the perfect quick lunch.
How To Prep Ahead Of Time
These little pigs in a blanket are the perfect things to cook ahead of time and store in the freezer. If you flash freeze them and keep them in a sealed freezer-safe bag, they will last about 3 months in the freezer.
Here’s how to freeze them so they don’t become a huge frozen ball.
- Bake them by following the recipe card.
- Let them cool completely.
- Place them in as single layer on a baking sheet.
- Put the baking sheet in the freezer.
- Freeze them for about an hour or until they are completely frozen.
- Put all of the pigs in a blanket in a freezer-safe sealed bag.
When you are ready to heat them back up, you can either put them back in the oven or let them thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Best Dipping Sauces
I love dipping them in my favorite low-carb sauces. You should try all of them, you never know which will be your new favorite.
- Copycat Chick-Fil-A Sauce
- Jalapeno Cilantro Dipping Sauce
- Creamed Spinach
- Sugar-Free Honey Mustard Sauce
