Keto Chicken and Spinach
Sometimes you are just in the mood for a comfort meal. And for some reason, cheesy recipes are the height of comfort food, especially on the keto diet.
This keto chicken and spinach recipe is smothered in both mozzarella and parmesan cheese, Then, it’s topped with my reader-favorite tomato cream sauce.
The entire thing takes like 30 minutes tops – and tastes as good as anything you can order from a restaurant. Plus, it’s really good for you too! Spinach is high in iron, vitamin A, and fiber. Even if you have kids that don’t like to eat spinach, they will probably eat it in this recipe.
The Best Keto Skillet Chicken
This is a stovetop skillet recipe. It’s so easy to make that you can do it even while you are multi-tasking or distracted with other things.
I only seasoned the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. If you want your chicken to have a little bit of heat, I suggest sprinkling some red pepper flakes on top.
In the end, garnish with some fresh parsley. Not only does it make the recipe look even more delicious, but the fresh parsley adds aromatic delight! As you smell the fresh herbs, it will mingle with the zesty and creamy tomato sauce and it just elevates the entire recipe.
Chicken With Spinach and Mozzarella
For this recipe, I used boneless skinless chicken breasts. Slice them really thin and they will cook even faster. You can also use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead – just make sure they are sliced thinly too.
With the creamy tomato sauce and all the cheese, I don’t suggest trying to use a different type of meat. Chicken really does taste the best with this recipe.

This tomato cream sauce is a reader’s favorite! I’ve used it in lots of other recipes and people have raved about how it tastes. This keto creamy garlic chicken uses the same sauce recipe and tastes amazing.
It also tastes scrumptious on top of keto feta burgers or tossed over a low-carb pasta with mushrooms.
Cheesy Chicken Skillet Keto
This is a fantastic recipe to use in your meal prep. Make enough for dinner and save some in an airtight container. It will stay fresh for up to 5 days.
Serve this chicken skillet with my keto garlic knots. I love to dip the garlic knots in the tomato cream sauce. It’s such a tasty dinner.

Ingredients:

Olive oil
Butter
Minced garlic
Heavy whipping cream
Tomato paste
Raw spinach leaves
Garlic powder
Mozzarella cheese shredded
Parmesan cheese grated
Salt and pepper
Instructions:
1. Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove.
2. Place the chicken into the heated skillet and season with the garlic powder as well as salt and pepper to taste.
3. Saute the chicken until completely cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. Add the butter to the skillet along with the minced garlic. Saute for 30 seconds.
5. Stir in the heavy whipping cream, tomato paste, and salt and pepper to taste.
6. Mix the spinach into the sauce until wilted.
7. Add in the parmesan cheese, and stir to combine.
8. Simmer the sauce until thickened, and then return the chicken to the skillet.
9. Cook for several more minutes.
10. Top with the mozzarella cheese and cover until the cheese is melted.
11. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

- 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
