Jazz up your boring salsa routine and make some creamy keto avocado feta salsa. There are just 2 grams net carbs in each serving!
Avocado Feta Salsa
This is not your normal salsa recipe! Sure it has avocado, tomatoes, onion, and lime juice – but that’s where the similarities end. The crumbled feta cheese and red wine vinegar make this a tangy, irresistible dip.
It also shows off beautifully too! Serve it at your upcoming party, or just show it off on social media. Either way, you’ll really love the combination of sweet and tart flavors in this unforgettable dip.
Easy Avocado Salsa
All avocado fans know that there are two dangers of making anything with avocados – they turn brown quickly and it’s difficult to pick out the perfect one at the grocery store.
To pick out the perfect avocado, find one that is slightly soft without being easy to indent with your finger. If it’s hard as a rock, it isn’t ripe enough. Thankfully, ripening it at home is really easy!
Place it in a paper bag with a banana (or by itself). It should be ready in about a day.
It’s also easy to prevent chopped avocado from turning brown. Cover every piece of avocado with either lemon or lime juice. The acid in the juices will delay the browning process.
Keto Feta Dip
Feta cheese has a soft and creamy texture that goes really well with chopped avocado. If you can’t eat cheese, (or don’t like feta) make this with some crumbled goat cheese. It will taste just as delicious.
It’s really easy to make this ahead of time for your party or dinner. Just store it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator. It will only stay fresh for about two days, so plan ahead accordingly.
What To Eat With Feta Dip
I like to eat this feta dip as a snack. It tastes delicious with a small bowl of low-carb parmesan nut snack mix. The sweetness of the feat dip will also contrast perfectly with some keto antipasto bites.
If you’re craving something really sweet, make some keto pumpkin muffins with cream cheese swirl. They satisfy your sweet tooth without going over your carbs.
Keto Crackers
There are lots of crackers in the store that advertise themselves as keto-friendly. Always look at the nutrition facts before you buy them. Some crackers get away with calling them “keto” by making the serving size like 2 crackers. It’s a joke!
That’s why I like to make my own crackers. These cheese keto crackers are perfect for this avocado feta salsa. They are crispy and there are just 3 grams net carbs in 10 crackers!
