Homemade Crackers Recipe
It is so much fun creating low-carb versions of classic snack foods. Crackers were one of those things I would pack in my lunch or munch on while watching a movie at home. I missed snacking on crackers, so I made a low-carb recipe that only has 3 grams net carbs per serving (and there are about 10 crackers in each serving!)
When you make them, your kids might even ask you to put them in their lunch. This recipe will make about 50 crackers, so you might want to double it if you are going to be sharing.
Keto Cheese Crackers
I’ve heard of people baking shredded cheese, but those crackers are fragile and don’t hold up to dipping. Isn’t half the fun of crackers adding toppings and dip?
I fortified these crackers with almond flour. That was the perfect thing! These keto cheese crackers are thicker and hardier so you can dip them into your favorite spinach dip or any other dip you like.
I’ve made cheese crips before, but since they were so fragile, I added a few more ingredients and called them pizza crisps. They are delicious to dip into sugar-free pizza sauce.
Low-Carb Cheese Crisps
This easy cheese crackers recipe is spiced with a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder. There are a bunch of different ways you can customize them to create your own flavor combinations.
If you like flaming hot chips, sprinkle some paprika and hot sauce on the chips. If you like salt and vinegar chips, mix together salt flakes, white vinegar, and 1/2 a teaspoon of xanthan gum. Then, spread that combination on top of the crackers. Yum!
Chili seasoning, everything bagel seasoning – have fun creating your own spice mixtures and flavors.
How To Store Keto Cheese Crackers
Since they are a little stronger than other cheese crackers, they won’t break apart when you store them in a bag. Even though they are made from cheese, you can store them at room temperature. Prevent them from drying out by keeping them in an airtight container or bag.
They will stay fresh in your pantry or on your countertops fo about 2-4 days.
Keto Crackers For Dipping
These keto cheese crackers are the perfect thing to use with your favorite low-carb dips. Set them out with some keto queso dip. It’s a cheese-lover’s heaven!
They also taste delicious dipped into keto Reuben dip, with the cheese and onions. Or, if you like spicy dips, make some easy keto buffalo chicken dip. It will light your tastebuds up!
Or just dip them into some ranch dressing – easy! No matter which dip you like, these crackers are perfect.
