Sweet sugar-free honey and bold garlic combine to make the tastiest sausage and veggies sheet pan dinner you’ve ever made. And it’s ready in an hour!
Is Sausage Keto-Friendly
Is kielbasa sausage ok to eat on a keto diet? Well, it depends on how it’s made. And when I talk about kielbasa, I’m also talking about the other names it has – Polska kielbasa, Polish Sausage, and smoked sausage.
Back to the question – is Polish sausage keto-friendly? To answer this question, you have to read the ingredients and nutrition labels. Not all brands of Polish sausage are keto-friendly. Some varieties – like ones from Hillshire Farms – contain high fructose corn syrup.
Before you purchase sausage at the store, read the ingredients label. Only buy sausage that is made without any added sugar or corn syrup.
Low-Carb Polish Sausage Sheet Pan
This recipe makes an entire meal in one sheet pan. It takes about 45 minutes to cook; but it requires almost no food prep. This is one of those recipes you can throw together an hour before dinner, even on your busiest days.
What sets this apart from other sheet pan recipes is that everything is tossed in a honey garlic dressing. The sugar-free honey cuts the boldness of the Italian herbs. This makes it taste less earthy and more robust.
Definitely make some keto garlic knots to go with the veggies! There are 9 grams net carbs in each serving, but that’s enough carbs left over to enjoy a keto garlic knot or two.
Honey Garlic Sausage
I love how drizzling the sugar-free honey and herbs on top enhances all the different flavors! You can change which vegetables you used. I used four different kinds – onion, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, and carrots. This is what makes the carbs so high. If you want to lower the carbs, leave out the carrot and Brussels sprouts and use zucchini and green beans instead.
There are so many different ways to cook with kielbasa. One of my most popular recipes is keto TikTok Cajun sausage cabbage alfredo. It’s creamy and spicy at the same time.
Low-Carb Polish Sausage Sheet Pan Meal Prep
Use this recipe to prepare for your lunches this week! It’s a wonderful meal prep recipe because all the vegetables and sausage will stay fresh and delicious for days.
Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
Low-Carb Veggie Sides
This really is an entire meal in one sheet pan. With 9 grams net carbs in each serving you don’t have to add many sides to the table with it. But, if you want to eat something with it, start out the meal with a zesty bowl of copycat Olive Garden salad. It’s a low-carb and healthy salad that everyone loves.
After that, you can either make bacon wrapped asparagus on the side, some keto loaded ranch roasted cauliflower or keto potato salad with cauliflower.
