These baked chicken thighs are keto and low-carb, covered in a sticky-sweet honey garlic sauce with heat from Sriracha!
Keto Honey Garlic Chicken
I know, honey isn’t keto-friendly. You’re right, it’s not. Thankfully there is a sugar-free honey substitute. It is even made with honey flavoring so it tastes the same as honey.
These chicken thighs only have 2 grams net carbs in each serving. They are fantastically low in carbs.
If you don’t like all the spices and sauces in this recipe, then I have a milder recipe you might like better. These chicken thighs are baked in the oven too but only made with a handful of spices. It’s a wonderful recipe if you have picky eaters and you don’t want to make a separate meal for yourself.
Keto Honey Garlic Sauce
The combination of sweet and umami ingredients is iconic and popular. Everyone loves that first bite of sweetness with a little saltiness behind it. It’s as if the soy sauce rounds out the sugary flavors. That’s what I love the most about this sauce recipe.
The chicken thighs are perfectly juicy, with caramelized sugar on top, and salty and earthy herbs all intertwined.
Save this sauce recipe and use it on top of pork chops or drizzle it on top of cauliflower rice. There are so many different ways to use it. I even like to roast cauliflower and then use this sauce as a dip.
Keto Spicy Chicken Thighs
If you want these chicken thighs to have a bit more kick to them, I suggest adding a splash or two of Sriracha! It will really bring out the heat of the paprika. I love how the sriracha tastes on the chicken thighs.
You can also add a little bit of cayenne pepper or spicy garlic paste. That will kick them up!
Baked Chicken Thighs Keto
This is the perfect entree to serve if you are hosting family or a lot of guests. It’s incredibly easy to make a huge baking sheet full of chicken thighs – not really any extra work to make a few or a bunch.
Plus, almost everyone loves honey garlic sauce on top of their chicken!
Oven-Baked Garlic Chicken
I love to use chicken thighs because as they bake in the oven, they stay nice and juicy. Chicken breast tends to dry out when you bake it. Plus, I can usually find chicken thighs on sale (bonus!).
There are a lot of different ways to reuse leftover baked chicken throughout the week. Shred the chicken thighs and sprinkle them on top of your salads. Or, add the chopped chicken thighs to your favorite cauliflower fried rice recipe.
