Snacks can be so expensive for five kids and I’m always looking for quick ways to make them myself in healthier, low calorie ways. During the summer, strawberries are a favorite at my house and I normally cut them up, sprinkle some sugar on them and refrigerate it, but I wanted to try something different. I decided to go with a low calorie chocolate chip stuffed strawberries recipe that I found on Pinterest. It looked pretty easy to whip up and they were a hit!
Chocolate Chip Stuffed Strawberries
Ingredients:
12 large Strawberries (have stems removed)
5 tablespoons Low-Fat Ricotta Cheese
3 No-Calorie Sweetener packets
1-2 drops Vanilla extract
3 teaspoons mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions:
Cut off strawberry stems and hollow out the top with a spoon.
In a bowl mix ricotta, vanilla extract and sweetener.
Add mixture into a small sandwich bag, cut off tip and squeeze mixture into strawberries.
Top with chocolate chips and you’re done!

They’re absolutely amazing and only took about 20 minutes to make. It’s the perfect summertime dessert!

Oh My! What a heavenly recipe! Chocolate and strawberrys! Yum.
Ooh I need to make those! Strawberries are my absolute favorite and adding chocolate to them is even better.
Haven’t had them but all of my favorites so I can’t see why I won’t make it. I had bought strawberries for shortcake but I may have to try these out. I’m certain they’ll be a hit not only for my kids but potlucks too.
My kids love strawberries – they can eat 2 pounds in one sitting! But these chocolate chip stuffed strawberries would be a fun treat for them, I think!
