Make a keto brown sugar shaken espresso that tastes just like the popular oatmilk drink from Starbucks (but only has 1g net carb!).
Keto Starbucks Copycat
This recipe is going to save you so much time and money! It’s such a good dupe that you can’t tell the difference between this and the version from Starbucks.
If you have a fun glass cup with a straw, you’ll still feel like you’re drinking it at a coffee shop.
Plus, making the drink is just as fun as drinking it. For a little fun, drizzle some sugar-free caramel syrup around the inside edges of your glass. And don’t forget about your reusable straw!
Keto Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso
The best thing about making an iced coffee is that it doesn’t get cold like a brewed coffee or hot latte does. This is a wonderful drink to make when you have a busy or chaotic morning ahead of you.
Mix it up, pour it, and sip it all morning long.
If you don’t have any Swerve brown sugar, get some! Not only does it give this drink an incredible flavor, but you’ll use it in a lot of other recipes too! I used it to make some keto brownie muffins and keto caramel pecans.
How To Make A Shaken Espresso At Home
You’ll need a few things to make a shaken espresso at home: an espresso machine and a cocktail shaker. They speed up the entire process and make it tastes perfect every single time.
If you don’t have an espresso machine at home, just brew some really strong coffee. Use 2 ounces of water per tablespoon of ground coffee. It won’t taste exactly like espresso, but it’s pretty close!
What about a shaker? Well, if you don’t have one, you can pour the ingredients into a mason jar, screw the lid on tightly, and give it a good shake that way.
It works just as well.
Iced Shaken Espresso
There are a few different types of milk that you can use in this recipe. Either use plain, unsweetened almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, or full-dairy milk.
If you need more fat in your keto macros, then use some heavy cream. It makes it really rich so you might even want to use 2 teaspoons of Swerve brown sugar instead of three.
What To Eat With Coffee
A keto brown sugar shaken espresso is a fantastic coffee to drink any time of day. Since it’s a sweeter drink, I like to drink it while I’m enjoying a sweet keto dessert.
If you’re drinking this while going about a busy morning, grab some keto granola bars and munch on them. They are easy to make and totally portable.
The rich flavors in the drink go really well with keto gingerbread donuts too. Or you can serve this drink as part of a springtime brunch with some keto strawberry lemon blondies and keto lemon sandwich cookies.
Do you like to pair a sweet drink with something savory to eat? If so, drink it with a slice of low-carb bacon and egg casserole.
