Is Honey Glazed Ham Keto-Friendly?
Honey glazed ham is only low-carb and keto-friendly if you use sugar-free honey. A regular honey glazed ham is definitely not keto-friendly.
So I don’t recommend trying to eat a traditional honey glazed ham while on the keto diet.
I have a recipe for Keto honey-glazed ham. It has an incredible mustard glaze and takes about an hour to make.
The best thing about it is that each serving has only 4 grams of net carbs, and it tastes just like a traditional honey ham!
Ham and Green Beans
This entire recipe cooks in the same skillet, which saves you cleanup time and prevents you from having to make things in two different pans. Since each serving has only 4 grams of net carbs, you can serve it with some of your favorite side dishes, too.
I kept this recipe really basic, so feel free to use your favorite spices on the ham and green beans. The only spices I used are sweeteners, garlic, and salt and pepper.
I bet that something spicy would taste amazing on the green beans. Sprinkle some Cajun or Creaole seasoning on top or add some red pepper flakes for some heat!
Keto Ham and Green Beans
Ham and green beans are a classic duo. I’ve used them before to make Low-Carb Slow Cooker Green Beans and Ham. So, save these green beans and ham and use them again! You can even use the leftover ham in an omelette, keto chaffles, or make a keto ham salad with it!
And save the green beans, too. Use them in a keto-friendly stir fry or just reheat them and eat them later on in the week.
I used fresh, raw green beans. I think they have a sweeter flavor than frozen ones but frozen green beans will work in a pinch!
What To Eat With Ham
Serve this ham and green beans skillet with your favorite side dishes. If you need to add some more veggies, I suggest making some mashed cauliflower or keto cauliflower fried rice or make low-carb chicken broccoli salad on the side.
And my favorite low-carb pumpkin pecan custard makes the perfect dessert to put on the side.
How To Store Cooked Ham
If you want to eat the ham later in the week, store it correctly. Place your leftover ham and green beans in an airtight container.
Keep them in the refrigerator for up to three days. You can freeze this recipe, too!
Store in a freezer-safe food storage bag and keep it in the freezer for up to six months. Then, heat it back up in the microwave.
