Ready in 20 minutes, keto ham and cheese roll ups are spicy, crispy, and perfect for either lunch or a snack. And there are just 3 grams net carbs in each serving!
Spicy Cream Cheese Ham Roll Ups
I love both roll-ups and taquitos. But what do you do when you kind of want both things? You make these crispy ham and cheese roll-ups!
They are crispy like taquitos, but have the same filling ingredients as cream cheese pinwheels. And you can make them as spicy or as mild as you want!
I added jalapeno to them as a way to add some bursts of heat and flavor. And the result is a crispy roll-up that I want to keep eating.
With just 3 grams net carbs in each roll-up, I can eat more than one!
Ham and Cheese Roll Ups
Sometimes we need those brainless recipes that are so easy to make they take no thought, no real effort. Being on keto seems like it takes a lot of prep work, planning, and a lot of tracking.
These roll-ups are filling and don’t take any thinking. In fact, after making them once, you’ll have the recipe memorized.
You can make them taste however you want! If you don’t want them to be spicy, leave the jalapenos out.
If you want them spicier, drizzle some hot sauce on top.
Crispy Pinwheels
I love ham and cream cheese pinwheels! They are so filling and the combination of salty ham and smooth cream cheese is so good!
When you make these roll-ups, I suggest using ham and that sliced as thin as you can. Thick-cut honey ham won’t fit in the roll-ups.
Can you use other types of deli meat? Yes, you sure can! As long as it’s unsweetened and sliced thinly, it will taste delicious in the roll-ups.
I made the cheddar cheese wraps in the oven, but you can also make them in an air fryer or toaster oven. Just make sure you don’t burn them – check on them after about 5 minutes.
Keto Lunch Ideas
These crispy roll-ups make the perfect lunch! Serve them with a bowl of keto Olive Garden salad to give yourself some nutrition.
Or, if you like spicy foods, add some keto sweet and spicy canned chicken salad to the table with the roll-ups. You can also round out the flavors with a bowl of keto broccoli cheese soup.
And then add some keto Olive Garden breadsticks to the table with a glass of sugar-free sweet tea and you’re ready to eat!
How To Store Roll Ups
I don’t recommend trying to store them and eat them later, unless you enjoy eating them cold. The roll-ups won’t reheat in the microwave without melting the cheese wraps.
They will reheat in an air fryer or the oven, though. Store them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigeragtor for up to three days.
