There are so many ways to be creative with food when you follow a low-carb diet. If you’re feeling bored with the same old recipes, then make this stuffed sausage for dinner. It will wake you up from your boredom and make you enjoy cooking again! 

Keto Lasagna Stuffed Sausage

It’s bursting with Italian flavors and since it’s made with so much cheese,  it’s both high in healthy fats and high in protein. 

It’s ready in less than an hour so it’s even faster than ordering delivery. 

Sausage Lasagna 

Italian sausages are thick and juicy with lots of incredible flavor! For this recipe, you’ll stuff the sausages with your favorite lasagna ingredients and smother them with low-carb marinara sauce. 

Keto Lasagna Stuffed Sausage

You can make your own marinara sauce out of tomatoes and Italian spices, but it’s so much easier to just buy pre-made sauce that doesn’t have any added sugar in it. My favorite brand is Rao’s homemade. It’s pure and zesty and totally keto-friendly.

I’ve made keto-friendly lasagna in a few different ways before. If you really love lasagna, then make these recipes too! Try some keto lasagna roll-ups for lunch (they are quick and easy and the perfect finger food).

I’ve made keto zucchini taco lasagna before and loved how the zucchini tasted and replaced the noodles. Plus, it has a delicious taco flavor!

But when you really want to make something that is so different that you don’t even miss the noodles, stuff some Italian sausages with some cheese and top with marinara sauce. It’s a delicious dinner!

Plus, you can store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to three days and use this in your meal prep all week. 

What To Eat With Lasagna 

When you make keto lasagna, serve it with all of your favorite keto-friendly Italian recipes. Start out with copycat Olive Garden salad. It has all of your favorite Italian flavors and a delicious dressing.

If you want something sweet, make some strawberry cucumber salad instead. On the side, serve some keto garlic knots. They always go well with lasagna.

Ingredients:

Italian sausage links
Low Carb Marinara sauce
Ricotta cheese
Mozzarella cheese shredded
Parmesan cheese grated
Italian seasoning
Garlic powder
Salt and pepper 

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Pour half of the sauce into the bottom of an oven-proof skillet.

Keto Lasagna Stuffed Sausage
Slice the sausages lengthwise down the center, being sure not to slice the sausages all of the way through.
Fold the sausages open like hot dog buns, and place into the skillet over the sauce.

In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.

Spread the cheese mixture inside of the sausages.

Layer the remaining sauce over the top of the cheese mixture.

  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
