Faster than takeout, Tuscan salmon only takes 30 minutes! Simmered in a garlic butter wine sauce, it’s the perfect keto dinner.
Tuscan Salmon
Salmon is one of the best kinds of meat you can eat on the keto diet. It’s full of body-nourishing Omega-3 fatty acids. These healthy fats keep you in ketosis and help you stay full for even longer.
When you smother the salmon in a creamy garlic butter sauce, you’ll be eating even more healthy fats! This recipe is so rich and satisfying that you’ll probably only be able to eat half a salmon fillet!
Creamy Tuscan Salmon
You don’t need expensive ingredients to make a recipe that tastes gourmet. In fact, you might already have everything you need!
For the cooking wine, either use white cooking wine (that’s sold by the vinegar in the grocery store) or very dry drinking wine. If you try to use a sweeter drinking wine, it will make the entire cream sauce taste far too sweet (plus it will add hidden carbs to the dish).
Keto Tuscan Salmon
Tuscan recipes are some of my favorite ones to make. After you taste this Tuscan salmon, you’ll look for more ways to use this combination of garlic, butter, and basil.
Creamy Tuscan sausage skillet is another way to incorporate the same flavors and ingredients. If you’re in the mood for soup, make creamy Tuscan sausage soup. It’s so filling and rich that one bowl will fill you up.
Keto Creamy Salmon
The best way to add this to your meal prep for the week is to store the salmon and the creamy sauce in separate containers. Then, heat them up together.
This way, the salmon won’t soak up too much liquid and change the flaky texture.
If you aren’t used to cooking salmon, use an internal food thermometer. Cook the salmon until the thickest part of the fillet reads 125F.
Wild salmon doesn’t have as much fat, so you can cook it until it reaches 120F. Overcooking your salmon will make it too dry, even with the sauce on top.
What To Eat With Salmon
This salmon has an unmistakable Italian flavor, so serve it with your favorite Italian side dishes. Some keto garlic knots or low-carb rosemary rolls will be the perfect things to dip into the Tuscan sauce.
A bowl of cauliflower rice will also taste absolutely delightful with the flaky salmon. If you like pasta with your fish, then prepare some palmini noodles or zucchini noodles with it.
