They are easy to put together and taste delicious together – these meat and cheese Christmas trees are an easy holiday snack!

Cheese Christmas Trees
One of the best ways to get into the Christmas spirit is to make snacks and lunches that match the holiday. That’s exactly what these cute little edible trees do!

You can’t help but smile when you look at them. And here’s a little parenting hack: If your kids struggle to eat their entire lunch, then make them these little trees.
They will have fun eating them up! These little meat and cheese trees are so good for kids too. They are gluten-free, grain-free, high-protein, and a great source of calcium and healthy fats.
If you’re sharing them at a holiday party, everyone will be impressed! But they are so easy to assemble – all you need is a little cookie cutter and some toothpicks.
Meat and Cheese Christmas Trees
One of the best ways to customize these little cheese trees is to use a different type of cheese. I used sharp cheddar cheese for both the base and the stars, but you can change it.

Use white cheddar stars. And, if you don’t mind the higher price and a bit of spice, make the stars with Horseradish cheese!
I suggest using a semi-hard cheese for the base. A hard cheese like parmesan might crumble too much when you try to add the toothpick.
The cheese should be soft enough to hold all the weight on top of it.
Best Cured Meat For Keto
When it comes to the keto diet, almost any type of cured meat is ok to eat. You just have to read the labels. Don’t use any type of sliced meat that is cured with maple syrup or other sweeteners.

I used a combination of pepperoni and salami to make these cute meat Christmas trees. You should also use thinly-sliced meat. It’s easier to fold and use in the toothpicks.
Christmas Appetizers
I love Christmas parties! These little meat and cheese trees are a savory appetizer, so I suggest making some sweets to go with them. Easy Microwave Keto Peanut Clusters take just a few minutes to whip together. And they have both sweet and salty flavors!

No-Bake Keto Cranberry Cheesecake is a beautiful dessert that tastes just as good as it looks. Since cranberries are a winter fruit, make a loaf of Keto Orange Cranberry Bread for the party too.
Finally, you can never go wrong with Keto Chocolate Cupcakes with Peppermint Topping. They taste like a peppermint mocha.
Make Ahead Appetizers
If you want to make these little trees ahead of time, store them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator for up to three days.

It might be easier to store the cheese and meat separately and then arrange them right before the party. This will keep the cheese and meat tasting as fresh as possible for as long as possible.
