Filled with your favorite supreme pizza toppings, keto pizza bowls are a low-carb option when you’re craving a cheesy pizza.
What Are Pizza Bowls
Are pizza bowls like a salad? Nope, not exactly. Pizza bowls are basically the sauce, cheese, and toppings in a bubbly-hot bowl. It’s the same idea behind my egg roll in a bowl.
The quickest and easiest way to avoid the carbs in copycat recipes is to put all the toppings in a bowl. Then, you don’t have to worry about how to make the perfect keto-friendly pizza crust.
If you still want a crust, the recipe from my keto chicken bacon ranch pizza is so good! Since you aren’t making the crust, these pizza bowls take just a little more than 20 minutes to make.
My recipe has 6 grams net carbs in each serving but, you can lower that amount by changing which toppings you use (and not using any marinara sauce).
Supreme Pizza Bowls
What are your favorite toppings to add to a supreme pizza? Add those toppings to this pizza bowl!
Most pizza toppings are low-carb and keto-friendly, so it shouldn’t be a problem. You should probably avoid things like pineapple, balsamic glaze, or maple sausage.
Adjust this recipe however you want. Remember, you’ll need to recalculate the carbs if you make changes. Other low-carb ingredients you could add include mushrooms, arugula, spinach, bacon, or banana peppers.
Keto Pizza Bowls
I baked these mini pizza bowls in the oven and they were ready in about 15 minutes. It will take about the same amount of time if you use the air fryer.
Can you make pizza bowls in the microwave? Yes, you can! Just be prepared for the pepperoni to be a little softer. When you bake or air fry the pizza bowls, the meat and cheese crisps up.
Don’t forget the red pepper flakes at the end! This adds the perfect amount of heat and rounds out all the other flavors in the pizza bowl.
These are made in individual ramekins, so you just need to grab a fork and dig in!
What To Eat With Pizza
I love making them either for lunch or as a casual dinner. Either way, serve them with your favorite pizza shop sides! You can never go wrong with some buttery keto breadsticks or garlic knots.
Don’t forget the fresh Olive Garden Copycat Salad – with plenty of parmesan cheese! The dressing is a near-perfect replica. Serve with a glass of keto-friendly Sweet Tea. Lunch is perfect!
Pizza Meal Prep
This is the perfect thing to add to your weekly meal prep! Store your keto pizza bowls in an airtight container.
Keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days. Then, reheat it in the microwave.
I suggest filling up your meal prep containers with the ingredients before you bake them. Then, you can heat them up fresh when you’re ready to eat them.
