Sip on the flavors of fall! This keto pumpkin chai tea latte is a perfect Starbucks copycat – and you can make it in your kitchen.
What Is Chai Tea
Did you know that Chai is the Hinid word for tea? So this is keto pumpkin tea latte!
But seriously, what is chai tea?
According to Teatulia, “the traditional ingredients of a spiced tea blend usually include black tea mixed with strong spices, like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger and black peppercorns.”
Today, we don’t have to make our own chai mixture. We can just buy a box of chai teabags and use them – it’s so easy! As opposed to black or green tea – which is just the tea leaves and nothing else – chai usually includes cinnamon and other spices.
Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte
One thing that stands out of about this incredible fall drink is that it is made with real pumpkin puree. Pumpkin is slightly high in carbs, but if you use a small bit, it won’t add that many carbs to the drink.
The pumpkin makes this drink extra creamy and slightly sweet. In fact, you should taste the drink before adding the sugar-free maple syrup. You might not have to add much sweetener to it.
Keto Chai Tea Latte
What type of milk should you use in a keto latte? You can honestly use your favorite type of milk as long as it is unsweetened.
I used almond milk because it is high in protein and has a creamy texture. It pairs perfectly with the rest of the latte ingredients.
You don’t need any fancy kitchen gadgets, either. I made this latte with a saucepan and a whisk! But if you have an immersion blender, use it.
A stick blender like that will make the latte extremely smooth and creamy.
Keto Starbucks Copycat
I love recreating my favorite Starbucks orders at home. I can save on carbs, make them taste just how I want, and save money at the same time!
This tastes just like a keto pumpkin chai tea latte.
I’ve made other popular Starbucks food and drinks at home, too. My Keto brown sugar shaken espresso copycat is one of my most popular recipes. It is just as sweet and strong! It will definitely wake you up. I like to enjoy that drink with a slice of Keto Starbucks Gingerbread Loaf.
And if you can’t get enough pumpkin, make a mug of Keto Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.
Keto Brunch Recipes
This rich and creamy drink is the perfect way to start your day. Make a bunch of them if you’re hosting a brunch.
It tastes amazing with a serving of Keto Ricotta Pancakes. They are so tasty that you don’t even need syrup.
If you’re craving something sweet, make some keto crispy cinnamon cream cheese roll ups. They have the same cinnamon flavor as the chai tea.
I also like to make a keto baked avocado egg for breakfast or brunch. It’s high in healthy fats and so filling.
