What Is A Quiche
The quick answer is that a quiche is a French tart. A pastry crust is usually filled with some kind of baked egg mixture, or a custard. In fact, one of the most popular types is a quiche Lorraine, which is filled with bacon.
You can eat a quiche hot or cold. I prefer to eat it when it is hot out of the oven! And a crustless quiche is also called a frittata.
Spinach Feta Quiche
Spinach and feta are a perfect duo of flavor and nutrition. I used it together to make Keto Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers and they were a huge hit!
Feel free to change this recipe to suit your tastes, too.
For example, if you need to make it dairy-free. use crumbled goat cheese instead of feta cheese. And to make it have a sharper flavor, use kale instead of spinach, or mix it in with the spinach.
You can also sprinkle some diced jalapenos to give it a hot kick!
Keto Quiche
Budget a bit of time, because this recipe is worth it! The fluffy, savory egg filling bakes perfectly in a buttery crust.
The result is a delicate quiche that rivals anything you can get in a restaurant! The flaky crust is made with a combination of almond flour, cream cheese, butter, apple cider vinegar, and a few other ingredients.
If you’re running short on time, you can either make a crustless quiche or premake the crust a day ahead of time. Trust me, the crust tastes so good that it makes the entire quiche taste better.
I’ve also made a crustless Keto Ham and Cheese Quiche and then a Low Carb Zucchini Frittata Recipe and both are perfect for a brunch.
What To Eat With A Quiche
I suggest eating this for breakfast, brunch, or breakfast for dinner. Serve it with your favorite low-carb breakfast sides.
For some veggies, make some Zucchini Fritters. Then, serve something classic, like Keto Blueberry Muffins and some toast made with Easy Keto Bread.
And don’t forget about my favorite savory breakfast recipe – Keto Pesto Eggs Toast. It is incredible!
How To Store A Quiche
This quiche takes about 45 minutes to bake. If you want to enjoy it on a really busy morning, I suggest letting it bake while you finish up other things.
You can also make it the night before and store it in the refrigerator in an air-tight food storage container.
It won’t last very long in the refrigerator – only about 3 day. But it will save you time if you make it the night before
