These low carb everything bagel breadsticks are made with real pumpkin puree. They are the perfect fall side dish at family dinners.
Low-Carb Breadsticks
Breadsticks are one of the best side dishes that go with almost any meal. I love breaking them apart and using them to dip into sauce dishes.
It’s the best way to really get every last bite off your plate.
These low-carb breadsticks only take about 30 minutes to make, from start to finish! They are so fun. If you have kids, let them join you. They’ll enjoy rolling the dough into the snake shapes.
Best Everything Bagel Breadsticks
Before I was on the keto diet, I loved getting everything bagels from Panera. That flavor is out of this world!
Then Trader Joes started to bottle and sell the spice mixture and now I try to find new ways to use it. It can be as easy as sprinkling it on top of some avocado slices or adding it to some keto grilled cheese.
If you are having trouble getting the Everything Bagel seasoning to stick to your breadstick dough, I suggest spraying the breadsticks lightly with some cooking spray. This helped me and it sure did make the seasoning stick really well!
Keto Breadsticks With Almond Flour
To make the breadsticks, I used a combination of almond flour and coconut flour. When you buy almond flour, don’t buy almond meal.
It is made with bits of almond skins, so it gives your recipes a grainy texture. If you use almond flour, your breadsticks will have a smooth and fantastic bread-like texture.
Can you leave out the coconut flour? Nope! I don’t recommend trying to replace coconut flour with almond flour. You need both in this recipe. They react to moisture in different ways.
If you use only almond flour, the breadsticks might come out slightly doughy and fall apart easier.
If you are lactose intolerant, replace the Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt. Make sure you use unsweetened plain yogurt. Any flavors will compete with the taste of the breadsticks.
Holiday Breadsticks For Parties
Since these have the comforting taste of pumpkin, they are perfect to serve at family dinners. As people eat them, they won’t be able to tell they are keto and gluten-free.
Another way to make these for parties is to cut them into bite-sized pieces. Then you can set them out as snacks or appetizers. They look so tasty sitting in a bowl this way.
They taste the best with your favorite turkey main courses. Serve them with some keto turkey pot pie for a really filling and comforting dinner.
Keto Pumpkin Side Dish Recipe
Most of the pumpkin recipes you’ll find will have pumpkin spice in them. That’s what makes this recipe stand out! Instead of pumpkin spice, I used everything bagel seasoning.
In fact, I used this seasoning before when I made keto everything bagel seasoning cheese chips. They are one of my favorite snacks.
You can also use this seasoning to make everything bagel chicken! It has so much flavor that you’ll want to make sure you have enough seasoning to use in other recipes too.
How To Store The Dough
The breadsticks only take 15 minutes to bake in the oven and they taste the best when they are nice and hot. To save yourself time, I suggest making the dough ahead of time and storing it until you are ready to heat them up.
Roll out the dough into breadsticks and then wrap each stick individually in plastic wrap. When you are ready to bake them, you just have to unwrap the dough. It’s so easy! The dough will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a week.
