You can make them taste how you want – all while staying within your macros! And this cashew shrimp recipe is easy to customize and has just 4 grams net carbs in each serving.

I love cooking shrimp skillet recipes because shrimp cooks so quickly! You’ll know the shrimp is fully cooked when it goes from white and transparent to pink and opaque.

The color and texture changes and it only takes a few minutes. If you aren’t a fan of peppers, then leave them out.

Replace them with your favorite vegetable. Try it with zucchini, broccoli, matchstick carrots, or cauliflower florets.

Keto Cashew Shrimp Ingredients

Ingredients

  • Olive Oil 
  • Shrimp 
  • Butter 
  • Onion 
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Cashews
  • Chopped Green Onions 
  • Sesame Oil 
  • Soy Sauce 
  • Sugar-Free Honey 
  • Minced Garlic 
  • Ginger Paste 
  • Rice Vinegar 

Directions 

Cooking shrimp in the skillet

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste, and add to the heated skillet. Sear until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Making the sauce

Reduce the heat to medium, and melt the butter inside it. Add the onion and red bell pepper to the skillet, and saute until beginning to soften.

Combine the sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar free honey, minced garlic, ginger paste and rice vinegar in a bowl.

Keto Cashew Shrimp

Return the shrimp to the skillet, and pour the sauce over the ingredients. Toss to coat well, and saute another 3 minutes.

Stir in the cashews and garnish with green onions before serving.

  • 1 1/2 pounds Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper chopped into large pieces
  • 1/3 cup Cashews
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Green Onions
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar-Free Honey
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Rice Vinegar

Instructions
