Make an amazing low-carb poke bowl salad with fresh chicken and nutritious ingredients. It’s an easy takeout alternative that everyone will love!
Are Poke Bowls Keto
Whether poke bowls are keto-friendly depends on how they are made and what ingredients they have. Obviously, you will want to avoid high-carb ingredients like rice, or sauces sweetened with sugar.
This poke bowl resembles a salad and has lots of high-fiber and low-carb ingredients in it. The only ingredients that are higher in carbs are shredded carrots, tofu. and the green onion.
What Is A Poke Bowl
Traditional poke bowls are made with diced raw fish, usually tuna. Then it is served over rice and topped with vegetables and umami-spiced sauces.
My recipe does not use raw fish. Instead of raw fish, I used grilled chicken and tofu. I also didn’t use any type of rice. I could have served it over cauliflower rice, but I wanted to make a crunchy salad instead.
This recipe has all the classic poke flavors you love. The hot sriracha and mayo combination makes a creamy and spicy dressing that you are going to just love!
Low-Carb Poke Bowl
If you are craving a crunchy salad made with fresh ingredients, then this is the recipe for you! The tofu and the chicken together make this a very high-protein meal that you can eat for lunch or dinner.
This recipe is also super easy to convert to a meatless Monday meal. Just leave out the chicken! Then you have a perfectly vegetarian keto recipe that will still keep you feeling full.
Keto Poke Bowl
This recipe is definitely keto-friendly, but you should still track your macros for the day. There are 8g net carbs in each serving. This is right on the line and if you aren’t tracking it, you might go over your macros. So just be careful with that.
There are ways to cut out some of the carbs from this recipe. If you leave out the carrots and the tofu, then you will definitely have fewer carbs.
The only downside to this lunch is that leftovers don’t really store well after you add the dressing. If you want to make a few different meals out of it, store each of the ingredients separately, and then mix them when you are ready to eat.
Chicken Poke Bowl
This recipe is my go-to takeout recipe that I now make at home. It comes together in a flash – especially if you use pre-made ingredients. Shred some cooked rotisserie chicken instead of grilling your own. Use pre-mixed slaw mix.
Then all you have to do is chop the onions and cucumbers, then add the mayo and sriracha.
In fact, I love the combination of mayo and Sriracha. It’s a spicy salad dressing that tastes amazing as a dip for raw vegetables or a spicy salad dressing with kale, spinach, and arugula. If you want this to taste spicier, just add more sriracha. It is low in carbs naturally.
