Save on dishes and make a dinner everyone loves! Spicy and creamy, this keto shrimp and sausage skillet is always a hit!
Shrimp and Sausage Skillet
If you enjoy making skillet dinners, then I have another winner for you! Bite-sized pieces of shrimp and smoked sausage are tossed in a spicy Cajun seasoning and smothered in a creamy sauce.
It’s basically the best dinner you’ll make all week – and it only takes thirty minutes from start to finish. Plus, there are a bunch of different ways you can change it up to make it taste just how you want it to taste.
Creamy Shrimp Skillet
The thick, creamy sauce is what makes this dinner taste so incredible! I used heavy whipping cream because it works the best. If you can’t have lactose, then I suggest using coconut milk instead – the kind from the can, not the carton.
It will have a similar texture to the whipping cream.
This entire recipe only has 4 grams net carbs in each serving. If you have extra carbs, you can add more bell peppers and onion. They add fiber and lots of nutrients, so add as much as you want!
Keto Shrimp and Sausage
I think the combination of shrimp and sausage together makes the dish taste memorable and delicious. But, you can also just make it with all sausage or all shrimp!
I also didn’t top it with bacon, but a bit of bacon crumbles on top would really set this apart from all other recipes.
What To Eat With Shrimp
This shrimp and sausage recipe tastes delicious with almost anything! Make your favorite asparagus recipe, or serve it with some cauliflower fried rice.
It’s also bold enough to make your favorite zucchini noodles or palmini noodles recipe taste incredible.
Or serve this with your favorite salmon or cod recipe. Or change things up and serve it with some bacon-wrapped avocado fries. They are incredibly tasty!
Easy Skillet Dinner
This dinner tastes delicious when it is hot off the stove, so serve it fresh. If you want to add it to your weekly meal prep, I suggest storing it in an airtight food storage container and keeping it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
I love making creamy skillet dinners! My creamy keto corned beef & cabbage skillet was a hit with my family. And I still make keto chicken skillet with tomato basil cream sauce for my family when they are craving chicken.
I used a cast iron skillet, but you can make this dinner in any non-stick skillet that you have.
