Every bite is a pure delight! Spicy chili mix with a luxurious cream sauce to make an unforgettable keto Cajun cod skillet meal.
Cajun Cod
If you browse recipes on Stylish Cravings, you’ll notice that I love Cajun recipes! The bold flavors of Cajun seasoning go with almost anything you can make.
Cajun baked pork ribs will light up your tastebuds, and Cajun chicken strips take a kid-friendly entree and make them bolder and fiery. Just like those recipes, Cajun seasoning tastes incredible on top of light and flaky cod too.
If you think cod is a boring fish, then make this recipe. You won’t think it’s boring anymore!
Is Cod Healthy
Cod is a fantastic source of protein, even if you aren’t eating keto or low-carb. In fact, it is low-fat (which is good for people that are struggling with heart issues).
But did you know cod also contains iodine? That’s a mineral that helps with healthy thyroid function.
Cod also has lots of vitamin B12, phosphorus, and selenium. It’s a mineral-rich fish that is good for your muscles and brain.
Cod and Asparagus
Asparagus is the perfect green veggie to go with cod. It’s a light-tasting vegetable that soaks up all the flavors of the creamy Cajun sauce.
Asparagus is fantastic for heart health. It’s high in potassium and vitamin K. Plus, it’s high in fiber and folate – which is great for anyone that’s pregnant.
If you are looking for an easy vegetable to cook that is low in carbs, use asparagus. It tastes delicious with chicken thighs and by itself with cheese and bacon.
Cod Skillet
This is a wonderfully light dinner to make on those days when you really need something that’s low in carbs. There are only 3 grams net carbs in each serving.
The best thing about this skillet dinner is that you can make everything in one skillet – the fish, the asparagus, all of it! I love how easy it is to make. Plus, you can place the entire skillet in the oven and keep it warm.
What To Eat With Cod
This is a very filling and delicious meal. You won’t need a lot of sides with it to make it a complete meal. Some garlic butter cauliflower rice is the perfect thing to serve on the side with fish.
The creamy sauce on top of the cod is the perfect thing for dipping some rolls or biscuits into. Either make some keto crack biscuits or low-carb rosemary rolls with it.
Keto coleslaw is another classic recipe that always tastes perfect with a skillet cod dinner.
