Take your chicken parm recipe up a notch. Keto chicken nugget parmesan casserole is a big hit with kids and adults.

Keto Chicken Parm
Saucy, savory, and super cheesy, there’s just something about chicken parmesan that always hits the spot! And when you make it with chicken nuggets, it turns into a meal that even kids will be asking you to make.

But wait…isn’t chicken parm made with breaded chicken, which isn’t keto-friendly? You’re right, it usually is!
I used keto-friendly chicken nuggets instead of making breaded chicken from scratch. This means that there are only 6 grams net carbs in each serving.
There are a lot of other ways to make delicious, low-carb chicken parm. I’ve made Easy Keto Chicken Parmesan Casserole and crispy Air Fryer Keto Chicken Parmesan before.
Both recipes were really popular with my cheese-loving family. But making them with chicken nuggets is easier and tastier.
Chicken Nugget Parm
If you want to make your own chicken nuggets, I have a keto-friendly air fryer chicken nuggets recipe to follow. But I found a brand of chicken nuggets that’s keto-friendly and really nutritious.

Since it saves me so much time, I was thrilled to use them instead of making my own. That’s why I love finding shortcut ingredients, like pre made nuggets and jars of marinara sauce.
Oh, one note about that marinara sauce. Since this is a keto recipe, read the ingredient label before you use it.
Make sure the marinara sauce doesn’t have added sugar. So many brands sneak high fructose corn syrup or sugar into their sauce.
Keto Chicken Casserole
There are only six simple ingredients in this filling casserole. Using fresh mozzarella cheese will really amp up the flavor, so splurge a little bit.

The bags of pre-shredded cheese will save you time, but they aren’t as creamy or buttery as fresh cheese. Plus, pre-shredded cheese is coated in anti-caking ingredients.
It’s just best to shred the cheese at home, trust me. The same thing goes for the parmesan cheese.
It will taste so much better than the pre-shredded stuff. And then top the casserole with some fresh basil leaves.
They are sweeter with a stronger peppery aftertaste than the dried basil leaves.
What To Eat With Chicken Parm
This tastes really good with some roasted broccoli and cauliflower on the side. Since this is an Italian recipe, make some low-carb garlic knots and serve it with a chopped salad.

I also like to make some cheesy keto garlic bread on the side too.
Then, for dessert, make a batch of keto apple fritter cookies. Don’t worry, they’re made with zucchini instead of apples, and you can’t even tell a difference!
Casserole Meal Prep
This is an easy recipe to make ahead or to turn into a freezer meal. You can even use it in your meal prep!

To make it ahead, just bake it like normal and then seal the dish with a lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. For your meal prep, add a serving to your favorite container.
Then, store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. If you want to make it into a freezer meal, just let it cool completely and then store it in a freezer-safe container.
Keep it in the freezer for up to six months.
