These delicious keto ham and cheese sliders are super-easy to whip up and they are perfect for parties, lunch, or late-night snacks!
Ham And Cheese Sliders Recipe
Sliders are so much fun to eat! My kids love that they are basically little mini sandwiches. They fit perfectly in their tiny hands. I think they are fantastic for parties.
You can make a bunch of them all at once, set them on a plate, and the crowd can pick them up and munch on them. These little sliders are also perfect for game-day parties too.
Serve them with my keto garlic knots and watch them disappear! No matter what the occasion is, they fit. There is something just classic about the combination of hot ham and cheese, isn’t there?
Keto Slider Buns
Deli ham and cheese are already low in carbs and high in protein. So the problem with most sliders (on the keto diet) lies in the bun ingredients.
Thankfully all you need is my easy fathead dough recipe and you can soft and flaky low-carb buns! Most fathead dough recipes can be used to make any type of bread or buns.
It’s a combination of shredded mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, xanthan gum, and almond flour. To get the perfect flaky texture that mimics my favorite sweet buns, I added some swerve brown sugar substitute, baking powder, and an egg.
It turned out perfectly! Save this recipe and use the slider bun ingredients to make low-carb buns for other types of sandwiches too!
Best Cheese With Ham
Honestly, any type of cheese will go well with ham. I think the traditional choice is ham and swiss cheese. Some people aren’t a fan of swiss cheese.
In that case, ham and cheddar is the next best thing. I can also see this tasting incredible with some pepper jack cheese too.
Be creative and add different types of cheese, layering the flavors in between thin slices of deli meat.
How To Store Keto Ham and Cheese Sliders
You can make them ahead of time, just store them in the refrigerator an airtight container with a lid. They won’t last long before the quality begins to deteriorate.
I suggest only storing them for up to 3 days maximum. Then, reheat them in the oven so they crisp back up!
Keto Sliders
These keto ham and cheese sliders have only 3g net carbs! Yup, you can afford to enjoy more than one at a time.Turns out, that’s a good thing because it is really hard to stop at just one.
There are so many different ways to make keto sliders. Instead of ham, make a deli turkey and cheddar slider. Or, shred some chicken in sugar-free BBQ sauce and make BBQ chicken sliders.
Once you have the recipe for the buns perfected, you can fill them with your favorite sandwich toppings.
What To Serve With Sliders
I consider these a fun food to eat, so I like to make side dishes that are just as much fun. These keto pumpkin fritters are another finger food that you can serve at a party or for a quick grab-and-go lunch.
If you like chips with your sandwiches, then make some keto salt and vinegar zucchini chips. They are crispy and crunchy. Or serve them with some low-carb pizza crisps. They are fun to dip and packed with flavor.
