Make a fun cream cheese appetizer that looks like a pumpkin! A pumpkin cheese ball is perfect for Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Pumpkin Cheese Ball
Don’t let the name fool you, there isn’t any pumpkin puree in this little cheese ball. Instead, I made a delightful and healthy snack that looks like a pumpkin! It is the perfect thing to serve at any party in the fall.
It doesn’t just look cute, but it is delicious too! The spices that make it look orange are paprika and garlic powder. They really taste amazing together.
How To Make A Pumpkin Cheese Ball
The entire process is super simple. All the exact steps are at the bottom of this post.
Let me give you a quick tip – make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature. This will make it a lot easier to mix with the rest of the ingredients. Cold cream cheese is almost impossible to work with.
For the stem, use some jalapeno stems. You can also use fresh parsley or a thin slice of celery instead.
Easy Pumpkin Cream Cheese Balls Keto
There are only 2g net carbs in each serving. If you want to, you can even make mini cheese balls that are made to be single servings. Or, make one large cheese ball – the choice is up to you.
What do you use to eat a cheese ball on the keto diet? There are so many different options! Make some cheese crips. If you like spicy foods, make some pepperoni chips. Or, make some keto cloud bread and break it into small pieces and spread some cream cheese on top. Yum!
Mini Cheese Balls
If you want to make some mini cheese balls, just use a melon baller to make them the perfect little size. Then, place a toothpick on top to make them easy to pick up and snack on.
I like to take these to parties. People have no idea they are low-carb and I get to eat the same food as everyone else.
Thanksgiving Cheese Balls
Since they are made to look like pumpkins, these cheese balls are perfect for Thanksgiving. I like to set them out with some sliced meat, crackers (for the non-dieters), and some classic deviled eggs.
They are so cute and so much fun to eat! If you want them to have a bit more bite, mix in some hot sauce!
How Long Is A Cheese Ball Safe To Eat
This cheese ball is safe to eat as long as it doesn’t sit out at room temperature for longer than 2 hours.
It’s a perfect appetizer to make ahead. Store it on a serving platter that is wrapped with plastic wrap.
To keep the plastic wrap off the cheese ball, put some toothpicks on top of the cheese ball. This will form the plastic wrap like a tent above the cheese ball pumpkin. Then, you just have to take the plastic wrap off the plate and it is ready to serve!
