This is the most fun way to serve peppermint mousse at a party! Keto peppermint mousse shooters are creamy, sweet, and surprisingly low-carb.
Peppermint Mousse
When it comes to a low-carb dessert that you’ll actually want to share with your friends, you can never go wrong with mousse! It’s fluffy, sweet, and has the most luxurious mouthfeel.
Usually, mousse is made with a bunch of sugar. So much so that it’s definitely not a keto-friendly dessert; that’s why I took the basic ingredients in mousse – cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy whipping cream – and used low-carb ingredients instead.
Trust me, use Swerve Confectioner’s sugar substitute. Don’t use granular sugar or a liquid sweetener. The confectioner’s sugar substitute will make the mousse extra fluffy in a way that the other sweeteners just can’t do.
Mousse Shooters
When it comes to parties, you don’t want to be stuck behind the table serving everyone – you want to be out there hanging out and having fun! That’s why I love serving the peppermint mousse in these little shot cups.
I love the tiny little mugs that I found. They look just like coffee cups.
Mousse shooters are a fun and easy way to serve mousse to your guests. I’ve made other shot glass desserts before too! My favorites are my keto eggnog cheesecake shooters and my keto white chocolate Christmas shooters.
In fact, serve a bunch of different mousse or cheesecake desserts at your holiday party, all without going over on your macros. There is just 1 gram net carbs in each pepper mousse shooter!
Keto Mousse Shooters
These little mousse shooters taste like a peppermint cheesecake! They are the perfect last-minute dessert to make for your party because they involve almost no decorating.
All you have to do is garnish them with some crushed up sugar-free peppermint candies. For a little extra flair, you could add a whole mini candy cane on top.
Another fun option that could try – use food coloring to dye half of the mousse red. Then, layer the red and white mousse into a glass shot glass! It will look like a candy cane.
Keto Desserts
If peppermint is your favorite flavor during the winter, then I’ve got a lot of other low-carb desserts that have the same bright peppermint flavor as these cute mousse shooters.
Keto chocolate cupcakes are topped with peppermint frosting. Or recreate that chocolate peppermint combo with keto peppermint cheesecake chocolate cups.
They are bite-sized and taste heavenly. And everyone loves keto white chocolate peppermint bark. It melts in your mouth!
How To Store Mousse
This is a really easy no-bake recipe. If you want to make it ahead, store the entire batch of mousse in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Then, add them to the mini cups right before the party.
You can also keep leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days after the party.
