Keto Dirty Rice
Have you ever tried a recipe at a restaurant and vowed to make it at home? Before I did keto, I remember ordering a boldly-flavored dirty rice and I never forgot about it.

If you don’t know what dirty rice is, I’ll tell ya! Dirty rice is usually fried rice with spices that make it look earthy and dark in color.
That’s where the “dirty” term comes from. Instead of clean, white rice, it comes out with many darker colors.
My first attempt at dirty rice was my keto dirty cauliflower rice. It was a huge success!
I took that easy recipe and made a few small changes and the result was this spicy and filling keto seafood dirty rice recipe.
Seafood Dirty Rice
The best thing about this recipe is that it’s so easy to customize it. All seafood is low in carbs and high in healthy fats, so use your favorite kinds.

I used shrimp with ground pork but you can also add some flaked salmon, scallops, lump crab meat, or mussels.
If you want to add some land meat, how about some chicken? It would taste amazing.
This seafood dirty rice make six hefty servings. So it will feed a family or give you enough food for your weekly meal prep!
Only 4 grams net carbs in each serving!
Keto Shrimp Recipe
What is the best kind of shrimp to use in dirty rice? To make the rice heartier and more filling I suggest using jumbo or large shrimp.

Remember to peel and devein the shrimp and remove the tails before you cook them. If you don’t mind the extra cost, you can also buy skinless, deveined shrimp at the grocery store.
Keto Shrimp And Rice
Since I flavored the keto seafood dirty rice with Cajun seasoning, I suggest making some Cajun entrees to go with it.

To go with the seafood theme, you could make Creamy Keto Skillet Cajun Cod With Asparagus. Or keep things easy and make some Crispy Keto Cajun Air Fryer Chicken Strips.
Keto Shrimp And Rice
Make enough keto seafood dirty rice so you have leftovers to eat throughout the week. I love how it tastes when you warm it up the next day.

All those Cajun flavors meld together perfectly.
For something with a lot of meat, how about a Keto Chicken and Sausage Cajun Alfredo? This dirty rice will also taste incredible with a bowl of soup.
My favorite is my Keto Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Soup.
Store your keto shrimp and rice in an airtight food storage container. And keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
