Instead of spending more time in the kitchen, make your family’s favorite meal in the slow cooker! Keto Crockpot Salisbury Steak is a winning recipe everyone loves.

Is Salisbury Steak Keto
Traditional Salisbury Steak is definitely not keto-friendly. It’s is basically a hamburger patty made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and spices.

Then, it’s smothered in a mushroom and onion gravy that is usually thickened with either cornstarch or flour.
Thankfully, it’s really easy to duplicate this classic, childhood favorite! All you have to do is replace the breading and the gravy thickener with low-carb options.
I already perfected a keto skillet Salisbury Steak. After that was such a huge hit, I wanted to make a slow cooker version that let you step away from the kitchen while it cooks.
Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak
If you need to spend less time cooking but still want the same delicious meals that you love, then make this recipe! It’s ready in four hours and there are just three grams net carbs in each patty.

Even though the the Salisbury steaks are covered in a mushroom gravy, I still suggest spraying your slow cooker with nonstick spray or using a slow cooker liner.
It will save you time and energy at clean up.
Low-Carb Salisbury Steak
What makes the Salisbury steak gravy so thick? The secret to a thick gluten-free and keto-friendly gravy is xanthan gum and you only need one teaspoon of it to thicken the entire batch!

If you think your gravy still isn’t thick enough, add another dash of xanthan gum. It doesn’t take very much to thicken the gravy really well.
And if you want it to taste spicier, add some red pepper flakes. They will turn up the heat and goes really well with the beef broth.
What To Eat With Salisbury Steak
Since these patties are so low in carbs, you can serve them with a few different hearty and tasty keto-friendly side dishes! Start out with some cauliflower mashed potatoes as the side dish or, serve a classic recipe of garlic butter cauliflower rice.

Other side dishes that will taste amazing with it also have lots of garlic (just like the Salisbury steak). Try it with some keto garlic knots or cheese keto garlic toast.
How To Store Salisbury Steak
This is the perfect recipe to add to your weekly meal prep. Store your leftover Salisbury steak in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Store it with the gravy so that the patties don’t dry out. Then, reheat them in the microwave. The gravy will soak into the meat, giving them even more flavor the next day. You’ll love them!
