The best parts of the pizza, without the crust – this keto pizza casserole is filled with meat, cheese, and a tangy low-carb marinara sauce.
Pizza Casserole
Faster than the time it takes to order delivery – and so much healthier for you too – this keto pizza casserole is the epitome of an easy dinner. You can fill it with all of your favorite pizza toppings, or make it with just a few of them.
No matter how you do it, this casserole is the easiest way to satisfy your pizza cravings. And since it’s made without any kind of crust, you’ll know it’s completely gluten-free, nut-free, even grain-free!
The flavors come from the fresh veggies, cheese, and zesty marinara sauce. And if you want it to be spicier, all you have to do is add some red pepper flakes.
Keto Ground Beef Casserole
Ground beef is the base of this easy pizza casserole. It’s an easy meat to find, easy to cook, and has a fantastic flavor.
For a bolder flavor, replace ground beef with pork sausage. If you want to use a leaner meat, then either ground chicken or ground turkey will work great.
If you use turkey or chicken, I suggest adding more Italian spices. These two types of meat tend to have less flavor.
This is a perfect way to use leftover ground beef. In fact, if you buy the ground beef in bulk, you can save some of it to use in other recipes like keto ground beef stroganoff and keto Korean beef rice bowls.
Keto Pizza Casserole
There are so many different ways to change this recipe. If you love supreme pizzas, and want to make a single-serving size, then Keto supreme pizza bowls are something you should try.
If you want to make a casserole for your entire family, then follow this recipe. There are already 6 grams net carbs in each piece, so I wouldn’t suggest adding many more veggies.
If you want to add more heat, then replace half the bell peppers with sliced jalapeno peppers. And if you want to add a tangy note, replace the parmesan cheese with some shredded provolone cheese.
And if you can’t get enough pizza recipes, then make low-carb cottage cheese pizza dip on the side. Yum!
What To Eat With Casserole
This casserole will feed your entire family (and kids love it!). Start out the meal with a keto cauliflower cranberry walnut salad.
It’s nutritious and full of zesty flavors. Then, add some jalapeno oopsie bread or garlic knots to the table to mimic a real pizza parlor.
And for even more veggie sides, make either stuffed peppers on the side or fluffy cauliflower mash.
How To Store Casseroles
This is an easy recipe to make ahead or to turn into a freezer meal. You can even use it in your meal prep!
To make it ahead, just bake it like normal and then seal the dish with a lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. For your meal prep, add a serving to your favorite container.
Then, store it in the refrigerator for up to three days. If you want to make it into a freezer meal, just let it cool completely and then store it in a freezer-safe container.
Keep it in the freezer for up to six months.
